1. Don`t wait for an Egypt-Gaza pact.
Nora tel Aviv   (01.01.12)
Once Egypt in their hands, an Islamist Egyptian government could well send troops to defend their "Gazzan Bothers". Such a pact coud play havoc in the strategic thinking of Israel.ld israel wait for that eventuality?
2. Retake Gaza forever. Stop fooling around.
Chaim ,   Israel   (01.02.12)
The only reason for Israel's problems with Gaza is our lunatic retreat from Gaza. We never had such problems until that mad retreat. Gaza is ours. We've had nothing but disaster since we left Gaza. We must stop fooling around and retake Gaza forever.
3. Excellent analysis, thanks (end)
Robert ,   USA   (01.02.12)
4. Be sure to bunker buster the tunnels and take back the

Philadelphi corridor so there will never be any more smuggling. Then destroying tens of thousands of missiles will be a nightmare, but fools let the smuggling go on.
5. Enough messing.
Liz Biggin ,   Rotherham, UK   (01.02.12)
This time the IDF must be allowed to finish the job once its been started. Hamas needs toppling and all the other "splinter factions" need to be ground into dust in order to secure Israel's southern front. The main focus can then be directed towards Hezbollah and its paymasters in Damascus and Tehran.
6. NO more "operations"! SECURE BIG ISRAEL,nonviolent transfer!
Jerry ,   The Netherlands   (01.02.12)
7. Eureka:maybe our unwillingness to put an end to Gazan
tom ,   tel aviv   (01.02.12)
agression(once and for all) is caused by the fact that it presents an excellent live target-area for our troops to practice in? Why get rid of it? It costs few kassams, bruises &occasional death, but it's cheaper, more real than any staging-area!
8. Moving closer to Gaza war
David ,   Germany   (01.02.12)
Dig a channel between Egypt and Gaza. Flood it with the Mediterranean See. That will fix the tunnels and be easier to guard.
9. Aw, geez!
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (01.02.12)
The Islamic Jihad is feeling handcuffed lately. How twagic. How twuly, twuly twagic. Hamas is responsible for everything that happens in Gaza. Hamas is the organization that will be held responsible. All of their recent meekness and mildness; all of their recent fake display of moderation is exactly that -- fake. If Israel goes back into Gaza -- and it seems we must -- there will be little concern for collateral damage. Israel is not going ANYWHERE. Hamas? Different story. Don't really care how high the body count goes. Israel is just taking a page out of the United Stataes -- and NATO -- playbook. Shoot first; questions come afterwards. Gaza is a hornets nest of assorted garbage. Garbage needs to be thrown out. 'nuff said.
10. I don't want another war but Hamas needs to control its dogs
Ghilmeini ,   Americastan   (01.02.12)
The course is clear. Hamas controls Gaza and they either control the criminal barbarians in their midst or they pay the price. With Egypt about to vote down the Camp David treaty, Israel would do well to treat Hamas as the arm of the Muslim Brotherhood that it is.
11. Israel ought retake Gaza/Sinai &
Daniel ,   Los Angeles   (01.03.12)
move those palestinians across to the other side of the Nile. The Muslim Brotherhood could use the additional votes down there in Egypt.
12. RETAKE GAZA
DANNY TAWIL ,   ENGLAND   (03.01.12)
CHAIM I AGREE 100 PER CENT WITH YOU, WE SHOULD NEVER HAVE COME OUT OF AZA. BUT HAIM AZA IS NOT OURS IT IS PART OF EGYPT AND THEY DONT WANT IT, BECAUSE IT CAUSES THEM TROUBLES
13. enough messing
DANNY TAWIL ,   ENGLAND   (03.01.12)
