1. Assad needs to get his eyes checks if he cant see the probl
zionist forever   (01.02.12)
About three months ago Assad could have solved all his problems with some diplomatic scheme like this or even putting together a mickey mouse committee into political reforms that would go away for a year or so investigate, make recomendations he would implement . The thing would have gone away people happy something is being done, never reports back but the momentum for change is gone but now they will never accept anything short of his resignation. There is also no way any protest leaders will agree to join a cabinet if they don't want to come out of it looking like they betrayed the cause. Right now the only thing that can probably sabe him is a war with Israel, get the Syrians to unite around their president as he fights a just cause ( one he made up ) against the zionist entity. Whilst I hope he doesn't go to war I hope he survives for the sake of regional stability and avoid any chances of a radical islamist government replacing him.

It's good to see that Barak thinks that the Assad regime is on it's last legs. This comes from a man who I am pretty sure informed us that Mubarak could never be forced out, not that he was the only one! Now I am not saying that the Assad regime is here forever but do not under-estimate this man. He will go to extra-ordinary lengths to make sure he stays in power and although he is under enormous pressure from the, so called, international community he has nothing to lose and this is a very dangerous position, for a man who cares little about his people, to have Us in. The Arab world has done next to nothing to stop the slaughter that is going on in Syria and why should they. After all most Arab countries are run by despots and dictators they also have themselves to think about. I greatly admire what the Syrian people are trying to do,but really the only thing that is going to happen in the near future is for the body count to keep rising. I realize that the Assad regime in some ways maintains some sort of stability in the Middle East, but also think that with him gone it will harm relations between Iran and Hamas and Hezbollah which can only be a good thing. Although I am not sure how. A war with Israel is not out of the question. Do we really need one? Well I would not be suprised as Barak needs to do something to justify his pension. Why doesn't he just go away. The guy would be about as welcome as a fart in a space suit around here.

Assad and his Monkey friend from Iran are both laughing at the rest of the world.......for now. Every time either one opens his mouth and lies about steps that they are going to take to ease the plight of their downtrodden citizens the world holds off taking drastic action against BOTH regimes. The time has come to call their bluff and take whatever steps are necessary ( including military action)to oust both these dictators from office.
