We have a saying in Sweden - " The Psychopats builds Castles of Air, and the Neurotics lives in them " !. The Castles is the selfdeceptive opinions of the so called - " Usefull Idiots " !. By the way as a Hint - Your opinion is not from Christ. Arn.Sweden.

offering? What borders are they prepared to accept? How many million Arabs, victims of a deliberate policy of Arab league apartheid,Kept as an" open sore" and a "winning card" against Israel. How many million of them do you think you can force Israel to accept so they commit national suicide? I see your brother Arabs are not exactly treating Christians as brothers. Its your choice to continue living in denial and deflection. Arab solidarity über alles

If German subs are the Mercedes and BMW of the under sea (the best), how come Hitler lost the war?
34. Israeli deterrence
Syd Chaden ,   Palermo Calif USA   (01.04.12)
Lauder is absolutely correct. Israel's nukes are really what has enabled Israel's survival in an extremely hostile region of the world. No US "umbrella", particularly one held by Obama, will show up to save Israel from destruction. Israel needs a credible deterrent to attack by Iran, and possibly, by a Muslim Brotherhood coalition of countries.
35. Israel should build her own subs.

Germany is no longer reliable.

Bitter apples and Israeli honey - an excellent simile !
38. #33, it had nothing to do with the quality of the subs.
Henry from New York ,   USA   (01.05.12)
The German sub quality was excellent. The thing is though that we managed to beat them in terms of sheer numbers of merchant marine ships. We built them much faster than the Germans could sink them. Please do research before making such comments.
39. #37, why restrict them to Rosh haShana? ;)

Because Hitler didn't give Admiral Donnitz the head of his navy as many subs as he asked for. Besides no country at that time had the industrial capacity to keep up with the United States Of America.

But South Korea says nothing when we build in our own capital. I do not trust any Germans - ever.

44. #42. How many Germans do you actually know, good sir?
Henry from New York ,   USA   (01.05.12)
The reason they want them built in Germany is for the reason I stated. The Kieler (that is plural, but German can sometimes get a bit strange in plural endings) are hungry for sub orders and grateful to receive them (I was told as much by Kielerin German professor who happens to be part Jewish). Besides, the Germans take such pride in their work and are so particular about quality that I wouldn't want anyone else building them if I were Israel's government. They never cut corners or anything like that. There's also the more important factor of the Kieler sub-builder having more experience and firsthand knowledge of their subs than the Israelis who would be building from scratch rather than modifying a pre-built sub heavily. Not that I don't trust Israelim to do the job right, but why not leave it to the guys with the most experience?
45. Deploying submarines.
Roland Day ,   Baton Rouge, Louisia   (01.05.12)
One wonders why it is taking the German manufacturer (Howaldtswerke-Deutsche Werft) so long to complete the two new submarines. Every effort should be made to speed up delivery. Israel will need a submarine base at Eilat, which would give it's Dolphin submarines ready access to the Indian Ocean. Greece has some HDW type 214 submarines on order for which it is unable to pay. One wonders if these submarines would be useful in Israel's fleet, if they could be obtained for Israel.
