The United States was created by people who believed in the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, most were Christians thus the term in God we trust. We should have the right to know in what God the presidential candidates believe in. For instance, Mormons claim they are Christian but they have written a totally different book (The Book of Mormon) which like the Koran contradicts the Tanach and the New Testament.
