Israelis must wake up to the fact the we have to stand on our own two feet! Whether the next President is a Republican or Barack Hussein Obama we have to realize that Arab money and Palestinian propaganda fall on highly receptive ears in the USA, Europe, the UK of course and certainly Africa and Australasia. Russia, in spite of FM Lieberman's support of Putin who is allied with Stria and Iran, is no friend of Israel either. So where do we go? The answer is simple. China! The Chinese are business people and are not interested in boycotts and politics. They want contracts. They want to sell their products and they will invest where they can make money. Ron Paul is right when he says that Israel must get of the American tit. Let the USA keep its $3 billion with the limitations and conditions. The Americans know the power and the potential of Israeli Hi-Tec so they will buy our products and not our country. The will spend a lot more than the $3 billion! To say that Gaza is a "concentration camp" is an insult to the millions who died in the holocaust & a complete lie. Hamas is solely responsible for the situation in Gaza & until last year Egypt, which controls the western border of Gaza enforced the blockade as well. Ron Paul is no outsider. He's been in Congress for over 30 years. He's also an idiot. He wants to eliminate the federal reserve board, fed income tax, the IRS & most gov. agencies. Ron Paul does not understand how out of touch he is with a majority of Americans. Even though he speaks with conviction, like a typical politician he avoids answering simple questions when they are posed to him. His past and present anti Israel comments are very appealing to his fringe and extreme base.

I would imagine if Ron Paul was in Congress prior to WW2, he would have been an isolationist and would have come up with excuses for the actions of the Axis powers.

Well he must not look further then his own country...just look at New Orleans and the aftermath of Katrina. There are other countries that present a significant political and financial cost to the USA and perhaps are not worth the trouble; would Ron Paul state that they are better off not existing as well? South Korea comes to mind. Paul needs to broaden this plentiful list of burdensome countries to the US and only then can Paul confidently clear up his image as an anti-semite and assert that his perspective is purely libertarian.

Would you prefer it to be independent, part of Egypt, part of Israel or part of Palestine? In the longer run, what do you hope for the people living there?
