Bibi will soon have Yair Lapid eying for Likud seats and campaigning on anti orthodox policies. He needs the religious block to keep his coalition intact. There is also the fact he has enough headaches already without stirring up more trouble with the haredi community when there already a bunch of radical haredi making trouble over just about everything. Barak though is right when he says who the IDF want to recruit and that we need a civil service to provide a viable alternative to the religious Jews who don't think they can handle the army or for arabs who we don't trust to be in the army. Give them an alternative national service.

Get a grip on things or you will be chucked out in the next elections. Stop all these crazy undemocratic allowances that are given to the haredim on the back of normal working people. Army or national service must be done by all. For once show some backbone and leadership.
