4. Responso to Lavrov
Maurice ,   Montreal   (01.18.12)
It's time the west imposed sanctions against Russia as well. Russians have been supporting "evil" rejimes like Iran and Syria for the longest time and its time the west reacted strongly! Do they have the balls?
5. Crush both Iran and Russia with crippling sanctions......
JR ,   US   (01.18.12)
to the point that BOTH fall. This would be best for Israel as well as the whole world.
6. Russia is against a

war on Iran, but who will ask their opinion ? If ther ewill be a attack on Iran it will not pass trough a UN resolution, so who cares about Russia opinion ?
7. When Israel is going to be exhausted

"barking"?
8. The Russian People
jeff ,   Beverly Hills, CA   (01.18.12)
they are not idiots, we have many of them in the states, smart tough people, they see right thru putin and his BS partnership with iran, my guess is putin will run to iran when the russian people decide his iran BS is enough, the russia people would rather russia be friends with the usa than iran
9. Both the present Russian&Iranian regime will fall&crumble
tom ,   tel aviv   (01.18.12)
if the History stays true to it's nature... Question is, how many souls will these sinking Titanics take with them? Both have nothing of real, positive & humanistic value to offer, neither to their own people nor the World at large. Like all primitive and clumsy street-thugs the only thing they can muster is lots of rusting iron- weapons and nuclear power (which in case of Iran is simply un-thinkable to allow to happen). Be not fooled by mr.Lavrov's suave appearance. In that photo, there are two small & ugly men (just like ONE of them on the outside) so is the tall one on the inside!
10. Lavrov: worried by Iranian`s comfort not by Syrian`s lives
Joe ,   Canada   (01.18.12)
The hypocrisy of the Russian politics & its disregard for human rights hidden behind the fake concern about the effect of sanctions on the standard of living of the Iranians is so patent. It supports the two dictatorships of the Middle East which rank among the worst in terms of cruelty to their own people & in terms of risk to the Middle East security, It tries to make us believe that through soft touch negociations you can ever get any true reliable concession from a fanatical regime like Iran's or from the deeply corrupt Mafia family terrorizing Syria. Russians still deal foreign affairs in the same manner as Staline with Hitler, hoping to redirect the fuher`s territorial ambitions against the West instead of the East. But cuddling to dictators is often resulting in a boomerang effect. The russian leadership is really despicable & a long term disaster for its country.
11. Too much money to loose
Dr D ,   Jerusalem   (01.18.12)
Russia will have to honor all the contracts . Till Iran and Syria will own to Russia for all the armaments and nuclear power stations Iran and Syria will be untouchable . No way for reimbursement. Only if the USA and the EU will propose to Russia an honorable settlement the way will be open for a "peaceful" ending to the Iranian and Syrian regimes.
12. Nuts to you!
Shep ,   Memphis, TN - USA   (01.18.12)
Much to everyone's desire to ignore the elephant in the room, let's not forget that without Russia, Iran wouldn't have a nuclear capacity. Iran is a client of Russia, Syria is a client of Iran, Hezbollah is a client of Syria. Get the picture? The dynamics of the Mideast WILL change - for the better - if these relationships are disrupted by Western intervention (military or sanction) and the possibility for peace in the ME will - for once in a blue moon, have the possibility to advance immediately.
13. Exporting Death! Good job Russia!
Yakov ,   Tel Aviv   (01.18.12)
How many innocent people, were killed with Russian arms today? Plenty. Russia receives massive amounts of money, exporting death. Their major trading partners, include a list of the worlds worst despots. They will sell weapons to those, who nobody else will.
14. Western sanctions against Iran stifling'

18. Russia
Albrecht Klein ,   Germany   (01.18.12)
Let's wait and see if the Chechen rebels get some "devices" from the Iranian friends.
19. Western sanctions against Iran stifling. That's the intent!

20. Russia: internal FREEDOM, international RESPONSIBILITY.
Jerry ,   The Netherlands   (01.18.12)
21. Russia is always on the wrong side of morality.
Susan ,   Kfar Saba   (01.18.12)
Watch RT. They always take a very anti-western, anti-American view. They still seem to think we are enemies. They dont get it that the cold war is over. Its like they want to stick it to the US, Israel and the west in general just for spite.
22. IRAN AND THE REST OF MANKIND AND SO ON...
A WONDER-SJOERD R. ,   MULTIVERSE   (01.18.12)
IN PRINCIPLE ALSO IN THAT CASE GRADUALLY AT LAST EVERY COUNTRY/PEOPLE SHOULD MIND IT''S OWN INTERNAL NATIONAL BUSINESS, WITHIN IT''S OWN NATIONAL TERRITORY, WITH IT''S OWN NATIONAL POPULATION. LET SUCH AN INSTITUTION AS THE ENTIRE UNITED NATIONS, THE IRANIAN PEOPLE AND THE REST OF MANKIND SOLVE THAT ISSUE AND SO ON...
23. russia's policy
saed ,   iranian   (01.18.12)
Saying to sheep, flee, flee.saying to wolf, hurry up,hurry up,catch it.and within these events are just caring about their benefits.i don't know which animal in the nature is acting like russia?
24. Obviously they are not strong enough because you're.........
Keep it up   (01.18.12)
still talking. Crush the Russians. crush Iran.
25. If Russia only once would make a positive contribution
Yael Schlichting ,   Raubling - Germany   (01.18.12)
I could restraint from calling them extremely counter productive. Russia ships weapons to Syria and Iran, Russia prevents a solution in the nuclear problem.... If Iran would follow peaceful aims with its nuclear program, all this wouldn't be a problem. so why not openly talk about all this.... Why not? Because Iran continuously is playing games and Russia is helping them.
26. white knucke handshake says it all
rob ,   Orangevale USA   (01.18.12)
27. To # 2 Thanks Sipahi, for calling us dogs.
Nora Tel Aviv   (01.18.12)
In the meantime , under the guise of promoting democracy, Erdogan is taking you to fundamentalism. Hundreds of your intellectuals, generals and journalists are imprisoned months after months without trial. Even yoru opposition party CHP fears to criticize AKP. Once Erdogan elected President of the Turkish Republic, you will say goodbye to democracy in Turkey. And your present President Gul? He will replace Erdogan as prime minister just like the democratic(!) exchanges between Putin-Medvedev-Putin in Russia.
28. What a wonderful world this is going to be
Rodney ,   Cape Town S.A.   (01.18.12)
when we can get rid of all polititions and the world can be ruled from Jerusalem by our Saviour Jeshua. And that is going to happen a lot sooner that we think.
29. @16
sipahi ,   Istanbul   (01.18.12)
We've been hearing Israel's barking for years. Threats, threats, threats. Do it. If you really believed that you could attack Iran on your own, you really would have carried out it. Like disabling Osirac reactor, like attacking Syria.
30. And ,;No Arab peace force in Syria either ?
Roland Seener ,   London England   (01.18.12)
