Obama seems to have a problem telling the truth. The best way to have stopped Ahmadinejad and protect American interests was popular regime change, that almost happened in the Green Revolution 2009-2010. Blinded by his hatred for Jews and Israel and totally dedicated to Arab and not American interests, Obama supported Amadinejad, the Basij and Revolutionary Guards as they destroyed the revolution. The bottom line, is you can't fix stupid. If Iran gets nukes, it is Obama. If American soldiers die in Iran, it is Obama. If Iranian children die in a war, it is Obama. Well, actually since Russia has given the West a unique warning "hands off Iran" the so called options have really been moved off the table to the coffee table. In other words, as news articles constantly repeat "Iran says nuclear power is for energy but the West believes otherwise" so the US likewise repeats "no options off the table." But as the former are just hollow words now, so is the latter. No one is going to war with Russia.

Israel should man up and take control of it's own destiny. If Israel wants to sanction Iran it should immediately notify all countries that if you conduct business with Iran you will be shut out of the Israeli market, then again I haven't heard one word about Israeli sanctions or Israel shutting out any country that purchases Iranian oil. Is Israel complaining about the Russians or Chinese? The answer is NO, but they want to put pressure on the one country that supports it via diplomatic cover ( VETO) and military aid, intelligence etc. I never ever heard of such an ungrateful ally that expects so much and demands more and more. If Israel doesn't like us go to the Chinese and Russians and see what they would say about sanctioning Iran.
