2. Core principles
Mark Reitkopp ,   Elrom   (01.20.12)
He is right in not joining Kadima, but many of his core principles sound very similar to short-lived parties that last for one or two elections and then disappear.
3. 1, Insult or compliment?

4. Well said Lapid! True words indeed!

Now all you have to do is change your disorder and join the sanity of normalcy.

6. I've been wrong more times than I care to think lately...
Noodles ,   Coney Island   (01.20.12)
I had Yair pegged as a for-sure Kadima man. I hope it doesn't bode ill for my Iran prognostications.
7. Would he?
A Jerusalemite ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (01.20.12)
Lapid is proving interesting, but I wonder if he really thinks that he can win if he doesn't join up with at least one of the other non-rightist groups...OTOH maybe that is what he is hinting at... Would he be happy to join Likud, f.i. if they would change their financial attitude?
8. Good!
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (01.20.12)
Lapid can create his own party. He'll get one vote (his) and (possibly) the vote of his significant other. Talk about a cold dash of water to the face!

Kadima are outcast cynical politicians and Labor is to far left economically & politically. I will end the Tel Law, help the middle class and the political system. That man is certainly a smooth talker telling the middle classes just what they want to hear .. responsible economics bit, anti haredi, distribute the wealth to benefit the middle class. He career in journalism may not make him a good politician but its certainly taught him how to tell the public what they want to hear so they will like you. He would be mad to join Kadima or Labor if the polls are right he will head the second or third largest party in the Knesset which will give him the choice of any ministry he wants just because he is the famous Yair Lapid. Who knows the man may even fool enough people into supporting him and we have a nightmare scenario where he is the PM. What does Lapid actually stand for all we have heard so far is why the others are so bad and a few little vague comments on all the wonderful things he will do.
11. when will Attila become a politico?
Yanni   (01.20.12)
Is it only a matter of time before his left-wing nuttiness moves from journalism to politics?
12. ...I announce that today I will be...
Gideon Reader   (01.20.12)
...forming a formless a party that has as of yet no particular name. Nor any cohesive plan or nor any agenda. Moreover this party which currently has no members or platform is considering a "working title" of Abu Kadima in an effort to appeal to the underutilized and ignored, except for searches and cleaning up after riots and suicide bombings, Arab sector. At this time we, and by that I mean me, will be getting our funding for whatever we may need funding for, and for whatever it is that we or I will do; from unknamed political interests in Europe and other geographic areas, etc. etc. My Team, which consists of me, is looking into what we may be doing if we ever get the impetus to do something or other, about whatever it is we or I may want to do. We will be asking the public, except for those momser settlers, to assist us in developing a platform or at least a small box to stand on. The first question is does this outfit I wear all the time make my tuchic look fat?
