1. Gulion needs to learn to refer to Jewish people.
Miron ,   USA   (01.21.12)
I am sorry but I see little difference betwen one libel or another. That you picked up this trait from some of prominent Jewish journalists does not excuse the practice.
2. Jewish State = fairy tale
Nour ,   One State   (01.21.12)
The only workable solution is a federal democracy. Grow up and smell the coffee apartheid is rejected.
3. Drop by poisonous drop, the European mind is being prepared
tom ,   tel aviv   (01.21.12)
for a new reckoning with the "Jew". "Never Again" has to be internalized by every living person of Jewish origin, because there are forces that by all means want a replay of History.
4. all this propaganda came from israel
fabrice ,   paris france   (01.21.12)
all this propaganda came from israel french journalists aided by ultra leftists NGO, an israeli newspapers, and israeli politicians create and disseminate this propaganda. Glavany had a lunch with Nitzan Horowitz in the knesset during his tour of israel (go to Jean Glavany s blog in french...) for his "rapport".

6. Nice inclusion of "blood libel"
Sarah B. ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (01.21.12)
When trying to get others to bend to our will, guilt is an effective tool. Even if the deed in question happened centuries ago and has absolutely no relevance whatsoever to today's realities. I'm only sorry the author couldn't find a way to work in the Holocaust.
7. Nour, no one wants your people.
Joe Fraser   (01.21.12)
You havebeen rejected by your Arab brothers and sisters, and most certainly will not be part of Israel.
8. Water = The Spark for the1967 War
Abdel Karim Salim ,   Jerusalem   (01.21.12)
Without water there can be no life. In the early 1960s Israel started the project of diverting a big portion of River Jordan, north of Lake Tiberias, the Sea of Galilee, for creating its " national water system ". At Egypt's initiative, the Arabs ( Egypt,Jordan, & Syria)formed a loose alliance under the name of " unified arab command " to foil Israel's diversion project . Consequently skirmishes often broke out between Israel and Syria until finally a bigger engagement took place in April 1967 in which the IAF shot down six Syrian " Mig-21" jet fighters in Syrian airspace . That event sufficed to heat up the situation and to make Egypt mobilize its army in Sinai and to close the Strait of Tiran ( Gulf of Aqaba ) in the face of Israeli navigation in May the same year . Hence the Six-Day War broke out in the first week of June...
9. The post at No. 6 is not mine

When have I ever put a period after my name?
10. To: No. 2
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (01.21.12)
Not nearly as good a "fairy tale" as pretending that there is an ersatz "Palestinian" people. You co-opted that identity from the Jews. Wake up and smell the coffee. You people wouldn't know "democracy" if it got up and bit you. Do you also reject the apartheid that prompted the expulsion of nearly one million Jews from their homes in Arab and Moslem lands? Do you also reject the apartheid that prompted the expulsion of Jews from their homes in East Jerusalem, Schehem and Hebron? You're a phony to the core, chica. Besides -- we don't really think you know anything about democracy, and -- in light of six wars and seven decades of terror -- we think you would make pretty lousy citizens of Eretz Israel. That's why it won't ever happen. Start packing.
11. weird talkbacks
nva ,   jerusalem   (01.21.12)
This issue is a real one, in real time, and the author is right about everything he wrote. For the subject at hand, it doesn't matter whether the Israeli left fueled it or not...they are underneath most anti-israel propaganda...but the fact that a European official govt document was published with this libel SHOULD be alarming to everyone.
12. euro idiots
Sam M ,   UK   (01.21.12)
There is institutionalised apartheid throughout the arab/muslim countries against minorities. Note the brutality meted out to shia muslims in gaza recently by hamas thugs and the exodus of christians in their hundreds of thousands from egypt and other countries. ''Even though the water quota was mutually agreed upon in the Oslo Accords, the Palestinians are now claiming that they own "all the water that falls on the hills." This is exactly why the palestinian/arab attempt to destroy Israel through delegitimisation will always take precedence over any agreement they sign. In any event Israel will soon be producing huge quantities of desalinated water and may even export some of this to the undeserving pals though as they claim all the water of Israel’s coast don’t expect any gratitude! Perhaps the palestinians who aren't noted for their resourcefulness or self-reliance will now extend their begging bowls to the rest of the world for water. While the spineless euro wimps are busy spreading these lies Israel should do the sensible thing and annex all land in Judea and Samaria outside palestinian cities and strengthen Jewish communities there.
13. water of hate
Jean ,   France   (01.21.12)
Glavany is nothing: an old men, related to the socialist party, not (yet) in power. this report does not involve the french government at all. it gives just an idea of thefrench foreign policy if , hass ve halila, Sarkozy was defeated and these guys elected.

Two 'points of information' if I may: 1. Technical committees of the Arab League and Israel agreed how to share the Jordan. In the end, the Arab League rejected this; "no recognition of Israel", etc. Jordan and Israel went ahead with the plan anyway. In response, the Syrians started to divert the Banias, etc. Israel attacked the work site. 2. Water may have heated up the region. But Nasser moved his armies because of a false Russian report that Israel had built up its forces and were going to attack Syria. This was well after the attack at the Banias.
16. Here's how MY coffee smells.........
Shep ,   Memphis, tn- USA   (01.21.12)
Follow the money: Israel's economy has made it a superpower and it's technology industry is the envy of the world. On the other hand, the Arab world - for the most part, are still squatting over holes in the ground after the've finished eating their nasty fly infested lunch.
17. France and Jews
Chantal Levi ,   Paris   (01.21.12)
Meotti is right, France likes to bash Israel

Sam M ,   UK   (01.21.12)
The problem with the federal democracy you mention, apart from the fact that palestinians falsely claim Israel as their homeland and deny any Jewish legitimacy is that even some of your fellow pals (and few are brave enough to say it openly) dread the prospect of living under palestinian rule. A majority of Israeli arabs also feel the same way. The muslim headman of hebron recently expressed his opposition to living under a palestinian regime and declared that many of his fellow arab residents felt the same way! Hebron was the very place which for thousands of years had a Jewish community briefly interrupted by the 1929 massacre of its Jewish population by local arabs. Hebron is, moreover, a town that fatah ect demand should be a part of a new Jewish free palestinian state. This reminds me of the situation in egypt with the copts. Wherever muslims settle they turn on those who were there before them and try to crush them.
19. The mandate resolution says it all"
Yael Schlichting ,   Raubling - Germany   (01.21.12)
The Leagues of Nations resolution to give the mandate to the British power says it all to clear, what Israels borders are. Since UN-Resolution 181 has failed, we fall back to this. After 64 years, I believe we can say it loud: Israeli citizens have an Israeli passport. A main quality of Israeli citizens is, that they do not commit pogroms against each other, They do not conspire with Israels enemies nor do they commit treason or fight against their own state. There have been enough attempts to settle the issues, but the other side obviously doesn't care for any agreements, so we may consider the Oslo Accords failed, too. But what was the basis for the failed Oslo Accords? Wasn't it the peace treaty with Jordan? And what was the basis for the peace treaty with Jordan? Wasn't it the "successful" peace treaty with Egypt? Successful? Really? We'll see! What now? I propose to give them a special status with an expiration date built in, but no citizenship. Israeli laws make it very clear, how someone can get Israeli citizenship. If you don't want to be a citizen of this state as it is, try to get another citizenship! The stateless Arabs had more than enough time to care for this. They cared for something else.
20. Giulio Meotti is a right wing nut job, why do you print him?
Steven Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (01.21.12)
And not print the left wing nut jobs that are equally anti Zionist? Pandering to your audience?
21. Israel's water.
Ben Ze/ev ,   Panamaa City Panam   (01.21.12)
It's a good remingder that you metion the 6 Mig-21's shot down by thhe IAF. You forgot to mention that they were piloted by Russians. let we forget just how good the Israeli Air Force really is...or was. Thank you again.
22. wow... here is an idea
Golan ,   modiin   (01.21.12)
for one month Israel should conduct a policy of Apartheid in order to show people what that would actually entail. Also the idea could (and should) be incorporated into Islamic treatment of Dhimmi (Jews or Christians) only the policy should only affect Muslims in order to put an end to the myth of Jews (or Christians) being treated well under Islam.
23. Israel's Water Apartheid
Jason Gavin ,   London England   (01.21.12)
If the Bedouins want water, let them draw water from the med by moving to Gaza and stop constant attempts to legitimise their unrealistic claims to Israel! One day they will go too far and then they will pushed into the drink without water wings!
24. I agree
Jarda ,   Czech Republic   (01.21.12)
another blood libel. The same like the one about organs harvesting.

27. Build desalienation plants and use the water to
Steven Wilson ,   Anchorage, Alaska   (01.21.12)
fill the Kinneret. Then you owe none of these West Bank citizens any water anymore. Let them deal with their problems. Israel has the technology to end any consumption of this water to begin with.
28. Remove E.U. from all negotiations involving Israel..
Chaim ,   Israel   (01.21.12)
Given the racist slander and libel by many European nations against Israel; the first sane step would be to remove the E.U. from all negotiations involving Israel. It is absolutely absurd to allow the E.U. to demonize Jews on the one hand and guide phony "peace talks" designed to destroy Israel, on the other hand.
29. Ridiculous argument
Tomek ,   Poland   (01.21.12)
"The land God promised the Jews may have been flowing with milk and honey, but it has no water." Drink milk, then
30. Nuclear Desalination Can Replace Everything
mick ,   USA   (01.21.12)
Israel can get all it's water from the Mediterranean. Surely the government would abandon the silly nuclear pretense to preserve the state.
