2. Now Israel needs to step up a little
Sheik Rattle & Roll ,   USA   (01.23.12)
Israel needs to sanction any country that does business with Iran. Israel needs to take the lead instead of complaining about what others do or don't do. It is a rotten shame that Israel cry's like a little biatch about the US/EU sanctions against Iran and not once I ever heard of Israeli sanctions. If I am wrong please correct me, but most likely I am right. Bibi is a weak leader and can't or won't protect his people.

Yakov ,   Tel Aviv   (01.23.12)
Finally, Iran is reaping its own arrogance. Payback is expensive, and their time is well overdue. Will they block the strait of Hormuz? As they have, and are currently threatening. This is a test far beyond just a blockade. If they don't, well they prove that they are a piper tiger. If they do form a blockade, will it be successful? This is the most significant issue. A successful military campaign will embolden Iran, and God only knows what follows. Thankfully, they will have to engage the American Navy.
7. Israel has more than 1 friend
Jared ,   Stillwater   (01.23.12)
The EU does favor Israel, stop saying Europian countries are anti Semitic
8. #5 Persian CAT, on Tom's mom disagreeing
Noodles ,   Coney Island   (01.23.12)
Of course she does, she's still looking for her magnifying glass.

Albrecht Klein ,   Germany   (01.23.12)
Not even the Mullahs are that stupid.
10. @ 5 What about Israeli Navy and sanctions
Sheik Rattle & Roll ,   USA   (01.23.12)
Israel should step up and do something as well. It is always getting a free ride. I would like to see Israeli warships sail through the straight of Hormuz and Israel should adopt some sanctions as well.
11. #2 - that would include sanctioning China...
Henry from New York ,   USA   (01.23.12)
Yeah... that's a bad idea I'm afraid.
12. I stand corrected on earlier statements...
Henry from New York ,   USA   (01.23.12)
though they are letting the existing contracts run until July.

Do you know his mother would disagree because of personal experience with Ahmadinejad? You sounded really certain about that statement so I was just wondering...
15. The EU actually does something in Israel's favor?
Aharon   (01.23.12)
Or will Israel be blamed worldwide for increased gas prices? Even so, it's a good move and more countries should follow.
16. Yakov, you are assuming ...
J Galt ,   Hidden Valley, USA   (01.23.12)
that the current leadership in the USA will take a stand in a timely fashion. I would not be a surprise to anyone that if the Iranians do close the Stratis of Hormuz that our current leader would go on a 4 week golfing vacation. At the end of that month I am sure the administration's secretary of state would advance to the podium, raise an piece of paper in the air and assure the world that "Peace is in hand!" Be assured the world may sleep peaceful tonight because G-d is awake.
17. @ 16 what would Israel do?
Sheik rattle & roll ,   USA   (01.23.12)
Would Israel send it's Navy to break the blockade? I don't thinks so, so stop biatching about Obama because this is a global issue.
