It finally downed on them that Nazism didn't make them popular. Socialism didn't either. Helping the attempts to destroy Israel (consistent with their Quisling views) have not made them popular or relevant any more than their past efforts. "Beat the Jew" didn't really help after all, and noody can blame them for not trying hard enough.
