1. Travel ban

Bravo to the Iraqi parliamentarians! Let us hope that the travel ban to Israel is enacted and rigidly enforced. No rational nation allows its leaders and citizens to fraternize with an enemy.

You should move from Maryland to Iraq. Isn't there more freedom than in USA?
3. #1 - it's unwise to reinforce such thinking when friendly
Henry from New York ,   USA   (01.30.12)
relations and commerce would be much better for both countries. Why advocate such behaviour on the part of Iraq?
4. You'd think that with a new government they might want to
Henry from New York ,   USA   (01.30.12)
put aside old rivalries and look to having more positive relations with former enemies. On the bright side, when Kurdistan becomes independent, she will at least be friendly with Israel. She will hopefully become a very powerful friend.
5. Travel to Israel
F ,   Europe   (01.30.12)
Being born in Iraq, I love to travel to Israel. I feel secure, safe and respected (also by the airport personnel, they do hold me for hours, but they treat me with respect and don't deny me entry). Maybe Israel should be happy it doesn't have diplomatic relations with Iraq... we have seen true hell from that disgusting country.
6. Thousands of U.S. soldiers died
Isac   (01.30.12)
and countless of those brave Americans injured for that ungrateful and rascist people called Iraqis. Shame on those Iraqis. It does however not surprise me what ignorant people they are.
7. John Hancock?
Mike Carmel ,   Rishon le Zion   (01.30.12)
Who for Pete's sake is John Hancock?
8. #6 - to be fair though it's only 50 out of 325. Still,
Henry from New York ,   USA   (01.30.12)
as you said, many of our boys shed their blood to put that government in place and this doesn't seem like anything akin to actual progress on the part of the Iraqi government. What a waste.
9. Yip! They are being brought into the Iranian lineup

10. John Hancock
Nick Z ,   New York, NY USA   (01.30.12)
John Hancock was one of the signers of the U.S. Declaration of Independence in 1776. He signed it in large, flamboyant letters that stood out from the others, perhaps so that King George could read it without his glasses, or maybe just as in "in your face" gesture to him. In any case, as a result, "John Hancock" became a synonym for signing one's name to a document.
11. #7 - John Hancock
Joshua ,   Tel Aviv   (01.30.12)
Mike from Carmel, this John Hancock reference is American in nature. John Hancock was one of the first revolutionaries to sign the Declaration of Independence (from the UK, turning America into an independent nation). Over time, putting a "John Hancock" on a document means you have "signed the document". Hope that helps...

13. Iraq is terrified of normaliztion
Avi   (01.30.12)
Any normalization with Israel would mean Iraq must pay tens of billions of dollars as compensation for their ethnic cleansing of Iraqi Jews and the seizure of their property and lands.
14. America was "destroyed" thanks to the Iraq war
k ,   US   (01.30.12)
the American economy was destroyed thanks to the Iraq war All the anti-semite losers like to blame the Jews for the reason why the US went to Iraq But what was the real reason for this war, and why are the people who started this war not brought to trial

16. #14. k: America is not destroyed
Tom ,   USA   (01.30.12)
Please stop these bombastic nonsenses. America was under far more challenges during WWII. and did not go broke. She had even extra money to offer to Europe with the Marshall Plan. America economic decline is more complex issue than some simple minded "John 6 pack" blabbers on these forums.

in WW2 taxes were increased especially on the wealthy to pay for the wars(thanks to the Democrats who were in Congress and the White House at the time) for Iraq you had Republicans in the White House and Congress who's only care is to make sure the rich pay as little taxes as possible, therefore they start a trillion dollar war without a care or concern to pay for it But the rich are doing great in the US, as for everyone else
18. #17, k: This not the Huffington Post!!
Tom ,   USA   (01.30.12)
You confuse Ynet with the "Occupy Wall St." movement or the hard left blogosphere in the USA. The leftist slogans, "kill the rich" "1%-ers" should be posted at George Soros offices or at other leftist billionaires like the Ketchup Kerry who profit from Obamao's policy. This is an Israeli forum.

21. Thank the USA
Tess   (01.30.12)
They have installed extremists all over the ME. Formerly secular North African countries have been replaced with Islamist regimes. Iran once had a secular government that was deposed by the USA (Mosadeh). Then they got rid of the Shah, who at least was trying to move the country into modernity. They let the Ayatollahs in. Now the Syrian regime is too secular for their taste too. Bring in whatever regime that will take Syria back into the Middle Ages. And on and on....It's as if they were doing it on purpose. In Israel they pressure the secular Israeli government to commit suicide by giving land to the nice gentlemen of the PA. So what is now a rather peaceful Judea and Samaria will turn into Gaza on steroids. Oh, yeah, the US also pressured Israel to abandon Gaza. It would be for the best, they reassured the Jews. And before that they convinced Israel to abandon Sinai. Also for the best. Who cares about all the natural wealth and sense of security and Jewish historical rights. It was all for "peace". So, people of the world, thank the wonderful USA government and its bull-in-a-china-shop tactics. The greater the wreackage, the more money the US military and security industries do.

23. #22. k. Oh My!
Tom ,   USA   (01.30.12)
Fact is that you are at the wrong place here, on Ynet if you want taxing the US rich who are financing the Kenyan. The richest Leftist, Warren Buffett is not even a Jew so why the hell are you talking about these guys on an Israeli forum? Go and pester Soros, he's the money man. This is not a smear but a fact. Got it?
