This has nothing to do with Israel. Assad is Alawi, considered subhuman by the Saudis. Thanks to Obama's stupidity in supporting Ahamdinejad to smash the Green Revolution, Iran became powerful enough to endanger Saudi Arabia. If the Syrian civil war is foreign-funded, it is the Saudis and Obama who are trying to replace Assad with a Sunni regime and exterminate the Alawi, Shi'ites, Christians and maybe Druze. The fall of Assad would lead to a civil war in Lebanon and bring pure Sunni rule. Such developments would be bad for Israel which would then be surrounded by Saudi allies whose most sacred religious belief is that Jews are unclean and must not be allowed to touch any ground ruled by Muslims. To add to Israel's problems is Obama's decision to give the Saudis enough air power to make Israel undefendable from Saudi attack. At this point, Israel's only hope is to retain control of Judea and Samaria until Ahmadinejad is replaced. A democratic Iran would be a natural Israeli ally that could confront the Saudi racial supremicists.

I Quote - The Western and Arab diplomats will make the case for the resolution adopting the Arab League power transfer plan on Tuesday, with US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, French Foreign Minister Alain Juppe and Britain's William Hague presenting a united western front. The resolution's fate depends on whether the Arabs and their Western backers can persuade Russia not to veto it. But a senior Russian diplomat said in Moscow the move would only set the stage for civil war, Interfax news agency reported. Comment - If Russia Vetos this there will sertainly be bouth a civil War and a Foreighn intevention. Best for all parts is that Assad goes, otherwise he will Fall. Arn.Sweden.
