1. sorry syria you are on your own
Robert ,   Farmington,wv   (02.01.12)
With Russian warships in Syrian waters and no oil to be found , the Syrian freedom fighters are on there own. Don't look for any international help..
2. Hillary Clinton
yoshinkan ,   New York   (02.01.12)
Oh yes, Hillary is a real genius. Look how nicely the "Arab Spring" is developing. The same Arab Spring that Hillary and the "Imposter in Chief" Obama instigated and condoned. I wouldn't trust anyone from this US Administration to wash my car, let alone offer advice to the "free" world.
3. Yes Mrs Clinton
barry ,   chicago, usa   (02.01.12)
Assad is a Reformer, let's open an Embassy! Obama's bumbling Foreign affairs team blew this one big.

8. Please Explain The Differences
ACortez ,   Anaheim, CA   (02.01.12)
Please explain to the world how Syria is different than Libya. It's a shame that innocent people have to die due to the cowardice of communists/liberals/progressives/socialists. I wonder what this world would have looked like if America stood by and watched Europe succomb to the Germans or left Southeast Asia for the Japanese. What a waste of American lives for these cowards.
9. #1: Sir, what "Freedom-fighters"?! Do you still have the Che
tom ,   tel aviv   (02.01.12)
Guevarra poster on your ceiling??? With attitude like yours no wonder USA is going down the drain.. By the way ,I have an almost new/unused bridge to selll(?)

ghostq   (02.01.12)
worse, here they got no oil money so they let the people be killed, no quick condamnsion like the condamnsion on Israel, compare the reaction to cast lead and to Asad, tell Ms. Clinton... too lil too late.
13. No Gold or big deposits in US accounts
Adar ,   UK   (02.01.12)
This is the difference between Syria and Libya, therefore no need for intervention. This is what Ms or Mrs Clinton ment to say.
14. EARTH TO HILLARY : SHUT IT FOOL
LAWRENCE BADEN FOUL ,   SAFED ISRAEL   (02.01.12)
15. #8 the difference
israel israeli ,   tel aviv   (02.01.12)
In Libya you had 80% of people happy to live under Gaddaffi. Obama, Cameron and Sarkozy could bribe 20% to revolt. In Syria, 20% of the people (Alawi and Christians) are happy with Assad and 80% want Sunni rule. In Libya, SAS death squads could operate unhindered. In Syria, Syrian commandos would neutralize the SAS.
16. No oil in Syria
Rami of Nazareth ,   Israel   (02.01.12)
Since Syria is not a major oil exporting country (like Iraq, Libya), the west does not care much and not that concerned. Every effort should be made to establish a viable democracy in syria.
17. do any of us know what really goes on
meghan ,   israel   (02.01.12)
behind closed doors. Naturally we all think.."oh Syria has no oil, in fact Syria has NADA to offer the world. Lybia, for the oil, or who would have bothered. Nato and other help depends what a country can offer, but for now Israel has real noisy neighbors and as long as they leave Israel alone, sorry but its their civil war.
18. With Russia,Iran help Assad junior will match Assad senior
Joe ,   Canada   (02.01.12)
Since Hillary Clinton is hinting no decisive help will come from the West to the uprising in Syria, there is not much hope that the Saudis will make a difference in the chances of success of the revolt. Bashir Assad has shown to be on par with his father in terms of ferocity but he might surpass him in the number of victims as the revolt is more widely spread now than when Hafez Assad ordered the massacre of the 20 000 or more people in Hama. The shameful inhumanity of the Russian & Chinese leaders in supporting a murderous tyrant will probably result in serious long term consequences to their countries in terms of future unrest & terrorism from their Muslim minorities helped by the Sunnis of the Middle East who will not forget the criminal indifference of Russia & China to the plight of their breithen.
19. What part of No No No doesn't Clinton get
lydia ,   Brisbane   (02.02.12)
The last time Clinton's pack of warmongers advocated a 'No Fly Zone to save civilian lives' that fiasco quickly morphed into a blitzkrieg by NATO; the destruction of Libyan infrastructure and the resulting slaughter of 60,000 Libyans civilians. US and Israel should stop arming the Syrian opposition and instigating a civil war.
20. 17 If Assad falls Syria descends into civil war
lydia ,   Brisbane   (02.03.12)
IZ believes Syria can be a failed State bombed into submission by NATO a la Libya or at least controlled by IZ/US. Don't hold your breath for the warmongers still haven't won in Iraq, Afghanistan or Lebanon.
