1. Yeshu + 12 Freinds = Israels history is Relevant
Andrew ,   Miami,FL   (02.01.12)
it also means that jews must realise that because of yeshu and his 12 friends - jewish history is relevant to billions - without him - its irrelevant - get the correlation now?
2. Yeshu plus 12
Sydie ,   Buffalo, USA   (02.01.12)
WRONG. Jewish history is extremely relevant to Jewish people irrespective of any connection to Christianity. To think otherwise is at best presumtous. As for the billions, that Jewish history you're talking about is a skewed. End of conversation. No need for further comment from you.

Here you start with an article about Christian repentance, then feel the need to explain to them how their religion REALLY works. Perhaps reconciliation requires understanding, and not just basking in your assumed superior knowledge?

6. THE JUDEO-CHRISTIAN DIVIDE
DAVID ,   WATERFORD, MI   (02.01.12)
YOUR ENTIRELY CORRECT ABOUT CHRISTIAN FAITH AND TORAH. THIS MISUNDERSTANDING OF THE NT TEXT HAS LEFT THE "CHURCH" IN NEED OF REPENTANCE FOR NEARLY 2000 YEARS. YOU'LL BE HAPPY TO KNOW THAT THIS IS BEGINNING TO BE LOOKED AT QUITE SERIOUSLY TODAY. MANY BELIEVERS ARE BEGINNING TO WALK IN TORAH AND LOVE OUR "JEWISH" BROTHERS AND SISTERS. WISH I COULD FIX THE PAST BUT I CAN'T. DAVID

Matityahu ,   Slovenia   (02.01.12)
Even if we assume that yeshu existed and that the NT is true, where in it does it say to eat pork and replace shabbat with sunday?
8. Jesus Never Existed is a good place to start.
Jeffrey Korman ,   Douglaston, NY   (02.01.12)
That the Torah is pure fiction is the place to begin. That the New Testament is pure fiction is the place to begin. That the Koran is pure fiction is the place to begin. That Adam, Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Yaakov, Moses, Joshua, Daniel, Jesus, John and Mohammed NEVER existed is the place to begin. Banish myths, forgeries, fabrications and lies based upon irrational, illogical thinking is the place to begin.
9. #1 bugsy siegel
yosef ,   williamsburg   (02.01.12)
Nice try but kind of elementary. So I guess your logic concludes that since Bugsy Siegel was Jewish all Yids are gangsters and since the Son Of Sam (David Berkowitz) had a Jewish name but was not a Yid also means all Jews are serial killers?
10. I do "repent," but...
Robert ,   USA   (02.01.12)
my repentance will not undo any of the injustices Jews have suffered at the hands of Christians over the centuries. Since I have been standing with Israel now for more than 6 years, I have learned to leave the “800 pound gorilla” out of the room, and have changed my mind – the true meaning of repenting I am told – about “targeting” anyone. I have not changed my mind about my faith, but appreciate it even more from learning of its “Jewish” roots. I am sorry more Christians do not have this understanding. Please forgive us.
11. Why worry about the Christians?

We've got muslims now. Doesn't now matter?
12. My experience
Jewish Patriot ,   Galut   (02.01.12)
As a Zionist and active Jew in Jewish life I met and know many Christians. Most of them were friendly to Jews but they were mostly Americans and Protestant Christians. But in Europe my experience was not satisfying. Most of them were Catholics and shared "medieval" principles on us. They were mostly anti-Semitic Christians. They were from Eastern Europe and South Europe (Spain, Italy). but who cares about those worthless Jew-hater countries like Spain? The British Christians I met were friendly to us as well so in Europe that is except. And as long as they don't want to clean our mind and "messianize" us I have no problem with the Christian Zionists. They have never tried convert me.

How can we really know for sure?
14. The "Judeo-Christian" Hoax
Avi ,   NYC, USA   (02.01.12)
This notion has been invented to usher the West to fight Israel's neighbors. The last time that I opened the Talmud and Maimonides (which I do quite often) it was difficult to ignore the piles of venom against the Christians and their faith. By the way, the attitude of Maimonides towards Islam is a lot friendlier. All through history, in countries where Christians were subjugated by Moslems, the Jewish communities served as the happy servants of oppresive ruler. See the function of the Jews in Spain and then in Ottoman Greece. Some honsty is required on our side.
15. #1 Wrong!
Edwin ,   Canada   (02.01.12)
As a non-Jew, I can categorically say that Jewish history will still be relevant when Christianity is long dead and forgotten. Jewish history has stretched 4000 years now and is as strong as ever. Christianity, on the other hand, is a upstart religion based on Mithraism and has little to do with Judaism.
16. #1 Jeshu + 12 Friends
Maureen   (02.01.12)
I adore the Jewish people and everything they stand for. It is very sad that not all of them believe in Jesus Christ, but as a Christian I would never put them down on account of that. I say Live and Let Live. Only non-believers have to face their Maker, not you or I as Believers. Like I said... LIVE AND LET LIVE!

18. #12 Your experience...
Robert ,   USA   (02.01.12)
unfortunately is accurate. It is difficult for me to say this, but most Catholics and many other older "mainstream" Christian churches do support Israel, but actually are against Israel more often than not. You can feel pretty confident that those Christians who believe the Bible more than they believe their old church traditions support Israel. I left the Presbyterian church because of this. I know it is tough for Jews to understand the difference between "mainstream" and "evangelical" Christians, just as it is for Christians to understand the difference between conservative and orthodox Jews. For the most part though, you can trust "evangelicals." We stand with you!

20. A Clarification of a Christian Belief System
Lori ,   Victoria, BC Canada   (02.01.12)
Growing up as a Christian, I have never been taught anything but the reality of the "Jewishness" of my faith. Certainly Jesus, Saul/Paul, all the disciples...were practicing Jews. I do not believe in Replacement Theology, and I have always hoped that if faced with a Holocaust in my generation, that I would be like the Ten Booms, and risk my life to protect God's Chosen People. I do not want to take anything from the Jews, except more understanding of the cultural and religious roots of Yeshua ben Yoseph. I understand that I am invited into the faith as a gentile; as I believe I could also convert to Judaism. I do not need to convert you. I may want to share with you my point of view on the identity of the Messiah, but never force you to believe anything. Besides, I couldn't do it. If, however, you need my repentance for my forefathers of centuries past, you have it. Many of similar believing Christians have also spent time repenting and praying for the same issues. A true believer in Yeshua does not hate or kill or have anti-Semitic views. Religious structures, whatever their labels, are subject to abuse of power and hatred. I believe Yeshua ben Yoseph was a man who confronted religious abuse of power in his time, and his true followers do the same today.

Peoples are inspired by different ideas Haredism Buddhism Humanitarianism and the Jesus Peoples in their often different interpretations that have often led to barbarous violence so far from Jesus even the Jews have been bewildered by Christian intercide. The Jews are a small people in number but big on ideas especially in medicine. The world acknowledges this and the Jews deserve a secure and prosperous state.
23. the author is correct
Wally ,   Auckland   (02.01.12)
Yeshu`a did not abolish the Torah, and in the Brit Hadashah the talmidim confirmed that the gentile converts to the Nazarite religion should keep the Noahide commandments (don't eat blood etc.) Most "Christians" just want to say a little prayer for fire insurance from hell, but could care less about what the "Bibles" (well said Dan), really say.

The replacement of shabbat with sunday or better the Christian tranformation of sunday to their shabbat day took place in time after the closure of the NT so there is naturally nothing about it in the NT. Why did the church do that? I would say to raise the fences against Judaism. When it comes to pork there is something to be found in the NT, not a suggestion to eat it, but a declaration that kashrut was of no importance for Christians, that is that kashrut should not be kept in such a way that it became an obstacle for pagans who wished to repent and be part of the Christian fellowship. But initially Jesus and his Jewish disciples kept kashrut and the NT had to "invent" an intervention from G-d to change that. Read for yourself in the NT Acts of the apostles chaper 10-11. You will also find a lot about this in the letters of Paul since he was mainly responsible for converting the pagans and had to deal with kashrut as well as circumcision. I hope this can be of some use to you.
26. I dont want their forgiveness or praise
David G   (02.01.12)
Though I would like some respect. Most Christians have nothing to apologize for. They are not accountable to what happened long ago. Jews also dont deserve any awe or special reverence from Christians for being "the chosen people." Can we just respect each other? That means no trying to convert or mock the other sides faith. Let's just agree to disagree. God will sort out who is right
27. Ask the Messianic Jews
Friend ,   USA   (02.01.12)
Google "Messianic Jews XXX" where XXX stands for any major city or cosmopolitan area in the world. You might be surprised. There are millions of them — these are Jews who have NOT left their Jewishness and traditions, but have acknowledged the teachings of Yeshua.
28. Persecution????
james ,   Exeter, UK   (02.02.12)
Who started persecution between Jews and Followers of Yeshua ? Jews started it, they persecuted Yeshua himself and his follower even after his death. Steven was murdered in Jerusalem few years after the death of Yeshua, Saul (Paul), Peter (Simon son of Jona) and others were sent to Rome as prisoners. Lets be honest when Jews were strong persecuted christians and visa versa

Henry from New York ,   USA   (02.02.12)
I am finding very little truth in your statements. This is especially given the fact that the parts of the Torah after Exodus are supported by archaeological evidence. We don't know if Jesus existed for sure, yet, this is true. We just need to find the evidence for him though. As for the other prophets minus Mohammad, yes, we have no evidence for them, but again, we can't say they don't exist. Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.
