1. Germany apparently not that friendly to Israel
Aharon   (02.01.12)
Despite giving Israel subs, Germany is making friends with Israel's biggest enemies: the "palestinians" and the Iranians. Western Europe is selling itself out because they don't want to anger their growing muslim populations.
2. Does Merkel know which hand she's holding?
Ian ,   Newcastle upon Tyne   (02.01.12)
It's the same hand that signed off the financing of the Munich Olympics terrorism and massacre. THREE CHEERS FOR ISRAEL!!!
3. What I think is that people must be aware with Germany.
Keren ,   IL-BR   (02.01.12)
Germany IS a dangerous country. As long as Germany becomes more confident ,Germany also becomes more dangerous. History has shown this as a fact. And that´s also a fact that the union between Germany and Muslims is a very dangerous union, specially for Jews. Remember that mufti who helped Hitler . I think that that mufti had a great, great influence in the implementation of Holocaust.
4. Sad day for Israel!
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (02.01.12)
5. Palestinians Are Not Our Enemies
American Jew ,   New Jersey, USA   (02.01.12)
There is much too much blind, arrogant hatred against the wrong peoples that is tolerated, even supported & enabled, by Jews everywhere including Israel ... this is NOT true Judaism!
6. Why would one want to do that?! Strange, even for Germany!
tom ,   tel aviv   (02.01.12)
What is there to gain by cozing up to a low-life like Abu Adolf Mazen, Doctor of Shoa-denial theories? Even for a professional politician like Merkel this should be something that's not digestible.... oh , I totally forgot: we shook hands with that zombie Arafat, so I probably should "keep my peace" ?
7. Mrs M-Ask him to tell U about his role in Munich Massacre

Harold ,   USA   (02.01.12)
You sound exactly like Netanyahu and his followers. Why do you hate peace and friendship. Israel cannot and will not continue stealing Palestinian lands.
9. xlation: Germany will not allow the Jews to steal Palestine
Steven Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (02.01.12)

Seems that Mrs. Merkel has not overcome her GDR-past until now. It's a shame.

15. To No. 8, Harold
New Yorker ,   U.S.A.   (02.01.12)
Sir, One should obviously hate such "peace" and "friendship" as embodied by the tireless efforts on the part of Abbas, the suit wearing Jew hater and terrorism enabler. And those who shamelessly accuse the Jews of stealing their own land in their own country from fraudulent primitive usurpers is not our friend either. Why Germany chose to cater to a pathetic dastardly savage thereby lending hand to endless savagery is beyond reasonable.
16. old allies die hard
k ,   US   (02.01.12)
I wonder what is said behind closed doors, remember the Germans were going to help the "Palestinian Arabs" kill all the Jews in the mid east had the war gone in favor for the Germans
17. Hitler had the Grand Mufti and Merkel
Chris Rettenmoser ,   Bayerisch Gmain Germ   (02.01.12)
has Abbas...can this be a coincidence ?
18. Merkel and Abu Mazen, the PERFECT
Chris Rettenmoser ,   Bayerisch Gmain Germ   (02.01.12)
couple !
19. Merkel is clearly a fan of the Holocaust
Chris Rettenmoser ,   Bayerisch Gmain Germ   (02.01.12)
denier Abbas...They should both put behind bars...!
20. Appeasement, influence and political expedience.
Jane ,   Wales   (02.01.12)
As long as politicians continue to recognise what doesn't exist in reality, then the only people to be fooled are the politicians themselves. No, Palestine still does not exist as a sovereign state, and never has. Germany, like the rest of Eurabia, wherein I reside, seeks influence and expedience through appeasement. The Neville Chamberlain gullibility award is again being sought.
21. Rather sooner than later.
Gabe ,   Canada   (02.01.12)
An end must be put to the Pali hoax once for all, one way or another. Negotiated suicide is not the answer.
22. "BIG" ISRAEL= historical&geographical COMPROMISE for BALANCE
Jerry ,   The Netherlands   (02.02.12)
23. #5 american
solomon ,   bklyn   (02.01.12)
You are right in that blind hatred should not be tolerated. But this hatred is not blind. It comes from the "Pals" refusal to accept a Jewish state, their immense distortion of history, their denying Jews any connection to the land or Jewish holy sites (Rachel's Tomb is a mosque?! yea, right...), etc, ad nauseum. How many wars do they have to start for you to stop calling the hatred blind? Talk with Hamas and see what they say.
24. and europe is wondering why its in crisis....Blind fools!

25. Holdding hands with a terrorist, what next, french kissing?
Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (02.02.12)
26. Europe seeks its own downfall ! How tragic for Europe !
who cares   (02.02.12)
''He who curses Israel will be cursed !'' Again Europe is cursing Israel - this time by making friends with the terror organisation PLO and its boss, the mass murderer Abbas alias Abu Mazen.....Hoe is it to shake the hands of a mass murderer, Mrs Merkel ? What a tragedy for Europe ! The price for cursing the Jews is very high, as Germany should now.......
27. Why should the PA bother to negotiate.peace & borders & an
PETER SM ,   AUSTRALIA   (02.02.12)
end to all claims, including settling millions of Arabs into Israel. Maybe they can fy the Pal flag over the Munich airport when the PA delegation arrives.
28. and this is one of the reasons...
Yochi ,   Germany   (02.02.12)
...why Jews will never ever have a real home and a future in this country. People hear didn't change since the shoah. they just express themselfves differently. B"H I will make Aliyah this year...and I can't wait to finally leave this country
29. It's either a good or irrelevant move by Germany
Neither the Jews nor the Palis will voluntarily leave the country. That's a fact. Both people want to stay, whether they have the right to or not. And so there will only be peace if both people can live free and safe in their own state. If this two-state solution is possible (what the German government obviously thinks), then it was probably a good move in the right direction. If a two-state solution is not possible, then, in the long run, one side will have to try to expel the other side, because you obviously can't live together peacefully in one state; and in this case it is completely irrelevant if Germany upgrades the Palestinian delegation to mission.
30. Age-old mechanism of Israel/Jews as scapegoat PREVENTS peace
