7. Prepare
zivron   (02.02.12)
The Jews need to prepare for all scenarios at least an elite group to draw up plans for maximum survival for the maximumtime of the jews in a nuclear exchange . The lands of islam ought be made uninhabitable for centuries and the Jews prepare for a massive return from habitableareas of that war . Prepare now . Focus now.
8. More bluster from Israel
George ,   US   (02.02.12)
What will it take for all these Israeli generals and officials to stop their hallucinations and bluster about Iran. Sorry to disappoint you, but Iran does not care about you. So, just go fly a kite.
9. remarkable
tom ,   toronto, canada   (02.02.12)
it's remarkable that the chief of staff is making public statements about a subject like this. first, he is not the ultimate decision maker in a democracy like israel - he receives his orders from the elected government. and if he doesn't understand that, it is the duty of he government to replace him. and second, it is probably a bad idea for the chief of staff to be discussing anything that might possibly be part of an operational plan. why would he, or any senior army officer, want to give iran any clues about what to expect? and third, sabre-rattling will not get the job done. iran has shown no intention of abandoning its nuclear weapons programme, and even seems to want to provoke an attack. so talking them to death isn't likely to succeed. gantz should get back to work, planning operational solutions.
10. How can we get others to attack Iran for us?
ZionistBecky ,   Israel   (02.02.12)
It's the aged old question for our people, isn't it? How to get others to do our dirty work for us. The first step, of course, is to repeatedly bring up the Holocaust. Use guilt for maximum potential (Ben Jabo and Sarah B are good at this.) Then we have to tell the people of the world (especially the Americans) that if they don't attack Iran for us, that we will have do it (even though no one in their right mind thinks Israel has the capability to do it properly.) Hopefully then they'll do it for us as they know any Israeli attack would set the ME on fire. Keep hitting the talkboards with this message my fellow Internet warriors!
11. be my guest
jb ,   Encino, CA   (02.02.12)
and do it. Me thinks you are all talk and no walk. And to be honest getting sick of your talk.
12. last paragraph is most important
israel israeli ,   tel aviv   (02.02.12)
Gantz said that in the next war, Arab forces will use their arms caches, especially in Gaza and Lebanon, to saturate Israeli civilian targets. This will lead to massive civilian casualties: dead babies, children, young mothers, pensioners. Who can we thank? In Lebanon we can thank Ehud Barak (and Peres) for betraying the SLA and arming Hezbolla, but can't forget Olmert, Livni and Mofaz and the rest of the Kadima gang. In Gaza we can thank Sharon and his supporters (including Barak, Olmert, Livni and Mofaz) for the ethnic cleansing of Gush Katif.
13. #10

G-D will recompense you for this. Bank on it.
14. Chilling words by Gantz...
Sarah B ,   U.S.A./ Israel   (02.02.12)
that reveal our incompetence visa vi Iran... I would have rather heard him give a press conference on the operation he undertook to strike Iran and the results achieved...
15. Hamas and Hezbollah first, Benny
Noodles ,   Coney Island   (02.02.12)
Leaving Iran with just it's schlort in it's hand.
16. #10
Eaglebeak ,   Left Coast, USA   (02.02.12)
Who took our Osirak and made the raid on Entebbe? Did Israel ask for help? The answer is "No Becky" As to taking on Iran, somebody has to do it or the ME will be set on fire anyway. I suppose we could all be like you and just wait for it and let Iran throw the first punch which will be nuclear. You should listen to Ben Jabo and Sarah B. They know what they are talking about.
17. I've said it a 100 times..Israel lacks any real leadership
Al   (02.02.12)
Gantz has got to go...period. He is a disaster in the making and he hasnt got a clue as to what to do. The PM is worried about his political ass and wants to pretend Obama has his back. Its sad...Israel is a far cry from 47-76 Israel.
18. Oh dear!
ZionistBecky ,   Israel   (02.02.12)
"Who took out Osirak and made the raid on Entebbe?" Talk about delusional! These were pinpoint attacks and neither nation knew Israel was coming. If you think for a second that attacking Iran will be as easy as either of these than you truly are as dumb as other Christians.
19. 18
Eaglebeak ,   Left Coast, USA   (02.02.12)
I didn't say it would be as easy as Osirak or Entebbe. I just used them as examples. Look what Israel did in 1948 and every war after that. With the God of Israel behind you, you can do and have done what seems to be impossible. As to Christians being dumb, I look at it as true Christians have their eyes and hearts open while yours remain closed. Call me stupid if you want Becky but time will prove you wrong.
20. The post at No. 14 is not mine
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (02.02.12)
"visa vi?" Come on. That's borderline insulting. (As is use of "reveal" as opposed to gramatically correct "reveals.") Back to the drawing board for the incompetent imposter! (But think of all the useful tidbits he or she is getting from me with respect to English grammar and usage. Probably worth even more than the effort that the idiot puts into his or her vain attempt to emulate me -- someone certainly needs to find a hobby ....).
21. To: No. 8
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (02.02.12)
For a country that you seem to think does not care about Israel, Iran's so-called "leadership" sure does seem to spend a great deal of time threatening Israel with death and destruction. Such rhetoric has been an almost daily occurrence since 1979. You're the one that should go fly a kite. Or, better yet, climb down from the one which you are flying upon. The thinning atmosphere seems to have addled your brain. Or was your brain scrambled to begin with?
22. To: No. 10
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (02.02.12)
You are no Zionist. In fact, I doubt very much that you are even Israeli. By the way, you need to take a class or two or ten or one thousand in reading comprehension. The last thing on earth I want is for the United States to interfere in Iran. My talkbacks are VERY clear on this. I just want the U.S. to stay the hell out of Israel's way. If Iran chooses to retaliate against an Israeli strike by attacking a U.S. asset -- well -- that would be the United States' problem, not Israel's. It is a very likely response by the Iranians (too cowardly -- or too scared -- to venture against Israel), but the likelihood of exactly such an Iranian response should not be a deterrent factor to Israel, either. At the end of the day, this will be a strictly "cahol v'lavan" operation, anyway. We've learned that much.
23. To: No. 18
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (02.02.12)
Do you think that Israel is not capable of a multi-pronged pinpoint attack that the Iranians will never see coming? Think again. Of course, your pithy remarks have me quite convinced that you are not capable of rational, intellectual thought -- but keep trying, anyway.
24. To: Eaglebeak at No. 19
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (02.02.12)
Don't waste your time. "ZionistBecky" is neither a Zionist, nor Israeli. Think of her (assuming a fact not in evidence) as cut out of the same ridiculous cloth as Egyptian "observer," and Ben Alofs. High on rhetoric, low on intellect. Oh well!
