8 Talkbacks for this article
1. If this article was about Haredim
Kyle ,   Southpark, CO, USA   (02.09.12)
YNet talkbackers would be shrieking with outrage that they should be learning how to solicit funds and manage non-profit foundations.
2. rabbinics and business
shelly   (02.09.12)
not deepest jewish values, nor is this new.
3. let me figure this out...
Larry ,   Los Angeles   (02.09.12)
We got some rabbis who learnt to be rabbis and now they are learning to be business people. OK, so what is the catch? They can't find jobs as rabbis or they need business skills to be rabbis or what? Myriad challenges and creativing with foreskin?
4. How to rake in those big conservative bucks so they can send
(02.10.12)
more of their little American groups on even more "missions" to complain to Peres about their lack of representation in Israel, to try to convert Israelis to their warped version of Judaism. "Jews for Jesus" also consider themselves a variation of Judaism. Sorry: "Conservative" isn't even a blip here [there's only that jackass Kariv and his (anti-) religious action committee engaged in lawfare against classic Judaism]. Israelis know better. You're religious or you're not. If you choose to observe some mitzvot and ignore others, that's your choice. They certainly don't call it "Conservative" or "Reform" or other such shtuyot.
5. Misleading headline: "Rabbis seek business skills"
(02.10.12)
as the News headline and then above the article itself, "Conservative rabbis seek business skills". Why would "Conservative" anything, be news here? Just another PR excuse to raise Israeli consciousness of their existence? "Deepest values of Judaism". B.S.
6. conservative skills
Hesh ,   nyc usa   (02.10.12)
First,they should learn Torah skills.
7. #4, I am not, I have Culture and that's enough.
Michael ,   California, USA   (02.11.12)
Jewish Culture in my background, respect for Jewish history, the Hebrew language and Israeli folklore, commitment to Israel's survival, what else is needed to define me as a Jew? Religion? -- you can take and keep it to yourself. Religion means absolutely nothing to me, especially your orthodoxy. With the other streams, at least we can talk and see some pretty women faces in pictures of rabbis and on synagogues' main floors.
8. Every leader of a community
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (02.11.12)
religious or secular , needs to know how to deal with money that does not belong to him/her , but to his community/organisation .
