1. Crumbs
Steven Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (02.03.12)
2. What non-sense
Samer ,   West Bank   (02.03.12)
These useless "incentives" to bribe Abbas back to the table so that Israel can go on stealing our lands and creating new facts without drawing world condemnation. I hope Abbas rejects this. If the Israelis truly want peace they must stop building illegal settlements on our lands. But I do not think Israelis want peace with us, the majority of Israelis support the settler movement whose goal is to expel all of the Palestinians from the West Bank. How can anyone claim they want peace when they support this?
3. lol
pini   (02.03.12)
What a waste of time
4. Garbage
Ellen ,   Israel   (02.03.12)
I may be missing something, but i doubt it. This whole process started with Oslo. Oslo spelled out certain conditions and the Palestinians have basically ignored them over the last 19 years. NOW, to talk they wanted building freezes, they wanted border guarantees that exist no where. So, to appease them Israel should give up her security. They want a country but want to be able to freely come into Israel. Why? A border is a border--respect it! Israel can't be responsible for them. However, it might be easier to allow more Palys into Israel if they didn't have daily diets of hate Israel speeches. It might be easier if they didn't honor murderers with camps, streets, and squares named after them. Israel won the land in a defensive war. She needs to stop groveling. She'll be respected more if she is strong. NO one likes or respects a groveler!
5. Israel must stop talking to P.A. terrorists.
Chaim ,   Israel   (02.03.12)
Judea and Samaria legally belong to Israel, as countless international law experts have incontrovertibly proven. Even the P.A. won't dispute this fact in a public debate; which MK Danny Ayalon challened them to. It is obvious to any child, capable of reading a map, that Judea and Samaria are also vital for Israel's survival. There is nothing to talk about. Israel must stop talking to P.A. terrorists.
6. So, after 12 years we are back to status quo October 2000.
Kolumn9 ,   Soon in Judea   (02.03.12)
The Palestinians have accomplished nothing in 12 years.
7. A complete joke
Eyal ,   USA Israel   (02.03.12)
we are idiots
8. This is a trap and it is Madness
Joe Sombrero ,   USA   (02.03.12)
This is a trap Accept this and that would be to death the nation of Israel. You can forget negotiating secure borders because if you allow any type of presence or projects in areas B and C you're basically relinquishing sovereignty. What is left nothing you're basically given them the entire enchilada.
9. Once Again
A Jerusalemite ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (02.03.12)
Yet again it is Israel that is expected to give and give and give. All the Palestinians are asked to do is to stop demanding the unacceptable... This is even-handedness?!?
10. Wow - Free to work in Israel and to commit crimes
Tess   (02.03.12)
The lack of respect for Israelis is amazing. PA Arabs would have opportunities to work in Israel and commit crimes too, because at one point or another Israel is always pressured (and successfully so) to free Arab perpetrators of even violent crimes. Where else in the world do claimants to territory on the basis of only two years of residency in such a place - and their descendants for eternity - have such a sweet deal? For those of you new to the concept of claiming ownership of a territory based on only two years of residence - that was the privilege granted to Arabs who fled Israel during the war. According to UNRWA, they were refugees with the right of return after only two years of residence in Israel. All of the above is factual. It may get censored. But it makes no difference to the legal and historical facts.
11. Don't believe the lies
Simantov ,   Israel   (02.03.12)
The truth is there is a gradual implementation of a Palistinian state going on in front of our eyes and this is just another way to implement the next phase of surrendering land without it ever being voted on by the Israelis. By the time they are finished doing this wicked plan the state will already be in full operation sand ready to beging the murder of Jews without them knowing what hit them
12. Is there a paid job in the "Peace Business" for me? If yes,
tom ,   tel aviv   (02.03.12)
than I shall wholeheartedly support the fake Palestinians in their efforts to blackmail the Jews for another terrorist, Arab state on this Blue Planet of ours. I want travels abroad (to meet with my next door neighbor who also supports "two Peoples/two Nations), preferably in Paris, Geneva and from time to time in Washington in order to coordinate with the Quartet and the Duet. But if the answer in "NO", then please stop feeding me this bull!
13. #2 YOU talk nonsense
Menachem ,   Israel   (02.03.12)
Your "liberation" terror gang PLO was established 3 years before Israel's "occupation" of the ancestral Jewish lands Judea and Samaria started and before a single Jew lived there. Your leaders and a majority of the Palis have always rejected a genuine two-state solution and continue to do so with the dark fantasy of one day destroying the Jewish state Israel. Here are some news for you guys: Israel is here to stay forever. Consider yourself lucky that Israel is humane and doesn't behave like you, Russia, Iran or Syria.
14. and than there was Peace.......
tiki ,   belgium   (02.03.12)
When this idiotic & useless "Quartet will desolve itself, the UN will focus on some other projects in the world, than the Palies won't have anyone to 'hide behind and will come to the negotiating table...., IF they want to get somewhere, and 'that's the big IF question....because I think they want to stay precisely where they are, hiding behind the skirts of the Israeli goverment with their education programs, universities, healthcare and other French benefits.
15. #1 steven, #2 samer
solomon ,   bklyn   (02.03.12)
If the arabs truly want peace they must accept a Jewish state. But I do not think the arabs want peace; the majority support the Hamas thugs whose goal is to kill all Jews. How can anyone claim they want peace at the same time as they want to kill those they are talking with? And what about the arab settler movement? I speak of those many arabs that came in the early 1900's, and those that came in 1948 when the Jews were kicked out and Jordan wanted to fill the vacuum. And how can you have peace with those who keep their eyes and ears shut tight because they don't want to hear truth? How can anyone claim they want peace when they support this?
16. So long the west portrays the PA as moderate
Ypip ,   Canada   (02.03.12)
Peace in the context of a two-state solution is impossible. The PA continues not to keep its commitments. It continually incites the killing of Israelis and to destroy the country. And it refuses to negotiate seriously.
17. Have the russians released any terrorists for "peace?" NO
Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (02.03.12)
and neither should Israel. Jews need jobs, why give them to imported arabs? NO This so called quartet has the anti-Semitic EU who would love to see Israel destroyed so why listen to them? It has Russia who is helping assad kill syrian civilians, why listen to it? It has muzlum obumma who is waiting for iran to nuke Israel, why listen to him? Politely or not, just say NO.
18. Is this the initiative...
Sammy ,   Newcastle   (02.03.12)
About the initiative About the initiative About the initiative About the initiative About the initiative About the initiative About the initiative? The longer this drags on the yawn yawn yawn zzzzzzzzz
19. #12-Tom
Marcelo ,   São Paulo - Brasil   (02.03.12)
Tom, you rock!Thats exactly the core of the conflict! This conflict has long ago become the strongest palestinian industry in the region, I doubt any agriculture would bear more fruits! Yours truely, Marcelo from Brazil
20. arabs and their demands
Maureen   (02.03.12)
lololol..... the arabs always give me something ti giggle about. There's that old man abbass making unheardof demands, and for what I can gather, Netanyu and co. are falling into line with arabs. Let's all agree becuse we all know it... these so called arabs belong in the deserts with their camels pounding sand and building their desperately wanting cities where they belong. They are desert people of various tribes, a complete mish-mash... give them not one inch of Israel... God's given country to nhis chosen people... the Jews. GO HOME ARABS. GIVE PEACE A CHANCE!
21. Samer
Dan   (02.03.12)
your land? land you stole. you migrated from the arab peninsula, you never lived in that land. now, after you saw what the jews did with the land, you want the fruits of jewish labor. you silly thief!!
22. Quartet buttering up Pals with gestures
Sam ,   Canada   (02.03.12)
The Palestinians don't want to live next to a Jewish majority Israel. They want all the territory Muslim controlled. They feel they have the time to wait out Israel because of superior numbers. The Quartet makes the mistake of demanding Israeli gestures for little in return. The Palestinians just pocket the gestures and wait for the next set of gestures. If the Quartet wants to get anywhere it will have to become more demanding of the Palestinians rather than babying them.
23. To the Quartet: The next time you shake hands with .....
David ,   Karmiel, Israel   (02.03.12)
Abu Mazen (Mahmud Abbas) just pause for a second and think that the hand you are shaking has the blood of many Israelis on it including the blood of 22 children and three teachers who were killed in the Ma'alot School Massacre in 1974 which he planned and engineered! Then come into the present day and remember that he is the man who said that "Palestine will be Jew Free" thus followin the Nazi doctrine of Judenrein!
24. #1 Steve Benassi - It's beneath you to
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (02.03.12)
accept crumbs, since Israel isn't offering them, EU is, at absolutely no expense to themselves Wait until it gets dark, you can Whistle Dixie for anything
25. #27 Samer - How very true
BEN JABO ,   BEN JABO   (02.03.12)
You claim to a land this isn't mentioned once in the Quran is total nonsense I'll be a sport and make you a wealthy man, while I am doing so Contact Prof. Daniel Pipes, he is offering a ONE MILLION DOLLAR reward to anyone that can prove that Jerusalem is mentioned in the Quran Simply GOOGLE" Daniel Pipes offers $1 million reward" and on your presenting the proof, per his requirements, you will be One Million Bucks richer Good luck!!!
26. STEVER & SAMER - GET CRACKING
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (02.03.12)
Prof. Daniel Pipes offers a reward of ONE MILLION DOLLARS, this is YOUR OPPORTUNITY to prove your claim and get rich at the same time “In the same spirit, I offer a million dollars to anyone who finds the name "Jerusalem" (Iliya, Al-Quds, Bayt al-Maqdis), in the Koran. Metaphors, similes, allegories, allusions, deductions, and implicit references do not count (and specifically, not 17:1), only an accepted proper name referring to that city, using the standard Egyptian text. And, to be perfectly clear, I will be the one and only judge of all entries to this competition. (January 4, 2006)” RECEIVE THE LATEST BY EMAIL: SUBSCRIBE TO DANIEL PIPES'
27. It's a chicken or the egg question now.
Trev ,   Canada   (02.04.12)
The Palistinains don't want to recognize a Jewish state and the Israelis don't want to recognize a Palestinian people...
28. 7 Israeli concessions for...???
Fred H ,   Sacramento, USA   (02.04.12)
Let me get this straight: Israel is to make 8 concessions, and the one concession that the Palestinians are asked to make is simply to TALK?!? And, the Palestinians say that even THIS is too great a concession?!?
29. #27 Trev - To the contrary
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (02.04.12)
So-called Palestinian people, in their respective PLO Charter & Hamas Covenant, both call for the destruction of Israel, the recognize & want to destroy us The Palestinian's already have a homeland, its name is Jordan, which consists of 77% of the Jewish Homeland, which the British stole and gave to Emir Abdullah, who was from Arabis of all places..It was payoff, at the expense of the Jews, for services that Abdlullah rendered to the Brits in World War One Try and get your hands on a Quran, find a single mention of a Palestine therein, let me know when you do, be specific as to where you found it Ditto goes for Al Aqsa The ONLY mention of Jerusalem is that it belonged to the Jews Do your homework before writing uninformed nonsense
