The religious sites are akin to RC relics that they rub and pray to. Instead of praying to God, the physical entity becomes the supernatural. The historical / religious sites should remain under the authority of the State of Israel. The State of Israel needs to stand firm on this issue as the owner of the various sites. The only reason for the Vatican to have full relationship with Israel after 1993 was the demonstrated weacknesss Israel has shown during Oslo process. Theologically - they felt finally things are on the "right track" in their eyes. Meotti once again exposed the real goals of the Vatican.
