Pierre was born in Paris, France. His parents were immigrants from Iran. The family moved to the USA when he was 6. His father is a surgeon and mother a well known academic. Don't think he considers himself Iranian, but then again I wish all Iranians were as open minded and liberal as Pierre.

As long as he was raised in an Iranian womb he is carrying Iranian his mother's blood like a Jew is a Jew when raised in a Jewish mother's womb. listen please, mr. omidyar is as iranian as you are. basically 100% non iranian no matter who gave birth to him. if his parents liked iran so much, they would have never left. all intelligentia and elite left iran in 1979 when the mullahs came to power. they left for europe and mostly to the usa. thank god for that. what is left in iran now are the jobless, poor, illiterates and heroin addicts to escape the suffocation placed upon them by the regime.
