Our only protection then will be our ability to utterly genocide the entire Iranian state within the 1hour flight time of our ICBMS. That is a sick thought and one we should do and accept the cost/risk to avoid. Iran will use that nuclear weapon to cover their terrorist support. I would remind the dear readers on both sides of this issue, that :mighty" Iran fought a 10 year war with Iraq; which was basically a draw. In a conventional military sense, the US defeated Iraq in about 3 days on two different occasions. Our big mistake was occupying Iraq. We will not make that mistake again. Using ship and sub launched cruise missles, stealth aircraft, naval bombardment, etc. the USA can reduce Iran to a smoking rubble pile in a couple of days. Sure, they may get a few missles off to Israel or the Saudi oil fields (similar to what Saddam did), but the results will basically be the same. The USA will destroy the modern civilization of Iran in a couple of days. I wonder if this is what the Iranian middle class, the intellectuals, the business prople, etc. had in mind when the voted for this lunatic government --- oh wait, they did not really vote for their government...

If the US has any doubts about attacking Iran then making statements like attacking US targets globally then he won't scare off Obama it will just make him realize that the Iranian threat can't be ignored because one day they might shoot off a missile that lands in the White House lawn.
