1. The Iranians are also convinced ....
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (02.14.12)
... that G-d took out Mohammed's heart, washed it, put it back and then saw him off to heaven on a winged steed. Somehow, I don't think there is room in heaven for a pedophile who advocated mass murder, jihad and a whole host of other anti-social practices. I also -- GASP -- don't much believe in winged horses, either. Having never seen one. Have you? So Iran's convictions don't amount to much that has any bearing on reality. They challenge Israel to their peril. Why not rid the world of the plague that is Iran once and for all? Saving civilization in the process would only be a side benefit. Or should we just sit back and let them continue to arm and encourage Hamas and Hezbollah, while Jewish children in Israel live and study in bunkers? No. I don't think that's a good idea at all.
2. Iranian terror
Erik ,   Oslo, Norway   (02.14.12)
Hardly "redraw" or "pricetag" or "equation". Rather yet another attempt by Iran to kill Jews anywhere in the world.
3. IRGUN
ABRAK ,   DELHI , INDIA   (02.14.12)
There were an influential number of Jews who thought that force, only force, could ensure the establishment of a Jewish national home in Palestine. They adopted terrorism as the method to achieve their national goal. This policy of subjugation of the Palestinians by Zionist terror was totally rejected by Gandhi in no uncertain terms.
4. Winged horses
Green Baron ,   Bethesda, MD USA   (02.14.12)
I sometimes can see winged horses, especially after consuming about a half dozen double vodka martinis. In addition, I also can see unicorns in my front yard, along with pink elephants and green alligators! Hey! I thought these Iranians were not allowed to drink!
5. To #2
graczek ,   Maryland, USA   (02.14.12)
And don't you realize that the Zionists, too, make attempts on, and kill people through extrajudicial actions? They are reaping what they have sown.
6. iranians a shooting themselves in the foot
david ,   new york   (02.14.12)
(or blowing off their own feet, however you like to say it) asian countries will sell their souls for oil and money, but do you think that if enough of this happens, they may start cutting bakc on iranian oil?
7. Alternative explanation
israel israeli ,   tel aviv   (02.14.12)
Bergman's historical perspective is correct, but may not be valid. If Israel is behind killing the Iranian scientists, it is an attempt to stop Iranian nukes. If that is so, Iran killing a few diplomats or even hundred of civilians won't stop Israel. The Iranians know this, so there may be a different explanation. First, the attacks might be Al Qaeda and not Iran, hoping to trigger a Jewish-Sunni war. No less likely, Iran may be worried that Obama will attack under orders of his Saudi masters before they get their nukes. To avoid the attack, the Iranians may be trying to paint any potential attack on Iran as a defense of Jews, something that Obama and his supporters will never do, even if it means damaging US interests.
8. Not winning by a knockout
The Accidental Zioni ,   Texas   (02.14.12)
Israel may be winning on points but either side can still win by a knockout. To quote Yogi Bera - "It ain't over 'til it's over!"
9. #5 Why then....
Phil ,   Ireland   (02.14.12)
...do you support the Assad regime while the UN and whole world condemn the actions of same? You always back the wrong horse.
10. An exceedingly cynical take on matters, #7

Good brooding that.

12. #10 yes
israel israeli ,   tel aviv   (02.15.12)
And I will sleep better when someone explains Obama's behavior regarding the Green Revolution. If Obama had supported the revolutionaries, there would be no Iranian nukes and need to attack Iran. Since Obama supported Ahmadinejad when he wiped out the Green Revolution, it seems he wanted Ahmadinejad to prevail. The only explanation I have is that Obama hoped that Ahmadinejad would be strong enough to fight a war with Israel. Israel and Iran would be destroyed so that Saudi Arabia wins without lifting a finger.
13. #12 - don't blame Obama
spyguy ,   Seattle USA   (02.16.12)
Most non-Israeli and non-US observers agree that the so-called Green Revolution had no chance to succeed. In reality it was a small minority of the people in Iran. The main reason they got so much air play in the west was because they speak English and are very media savvy. Even if the US had tried to do something it would have been a catastrophic failure. Not only that but the "greens" very pointedly said they did not want US help because they knew that US help would further alienate them from main-stream Iranians.
