1. There are some ridiculous things about Israel I find funny
Henry from New York ,   USA   (02.15.12)
this is not one of them.
2. I, for one, will never forget ...
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (02.15.12)
... the tens of thousands of Israeli Jews who lined up at Kupat Holim to donate blood in the aftermath of the disaster that befell the United States on September 11, 2001. (All the while, I might add, Arabs cheered and celebrated, especially in the West Bank and Gaza, but in Israel proper as well.) I rather think that Americans -- and a good many others -- would do the same should something befall Israel's blood supplies. That said, Israel needs to secure its blood and plasma supplies. This should be a prime concern.
3. let's fix this now!
universal donor ,   Israel   (02.15.12)
I have donated blood on a regular basis since my immigration to Israel in 1973 because I am a member of Israel's universal donor group. I am part of the nation's 37% which forms the universal donor group. As long as I can I will donate blood, in return I ask that the State of Israel fix the storage problem now!
4. MDA's Blood bank (along with MDA) have official Knesset...
suspicious ,   Israel   (02.15.12)
legal status since 12 July 1950 it is Israel's National Emergency service agency and its mandate includes: "To maintain a storage service of blood, plasma and their by-products" So someone ought to share this information with P.M. Mr. Netanyahu and ask him to get on the ball and build them 2 secure buildings! (Alternatively MDA could go beggin' for money abroad)
