31. Rabbi Hartman's omission
Bertram Cohen ,   Poughkeepsie   (02.18.12)
It is amazing that Hartman is totally political. If he was really a rabbi he would also be aware of Deuteronomy chapter 28. Simply put the fate of the Jews depends on whether we follow the Torah. No TRUE rabbi would make this omission.
32. In a future post...
TaylorT ,   Earth   (02.18.12)
...not only will I work in potatoes, but also shamrocks, leprechauns, and several paragraphs on Irish Catholic priests. I'm sure Phil won't mind.
33. Re:Mueer, Jordan (the natural kingdom of)
HaifaGuy   (02.18.12)
Dude, you live in one of world's most artificial states created to accomodate a bunch of corrupt Bedouine clansmen from the Hijjaz. I mean, living in Israel, I happen to watch some of your TV - what a pipedream!!! You are so pathetic my friend: your quasi-state is hanging by a thread, and I truly hope you've been stocking up on canned food because when your time comes to be swept by the turbid waves of "Arab Spring" (what a joke) I won't come to rescue!!!
34. islam = terror
Beary White ,   Norway   (02.19.12)
And the only reasion for a strike is an idiot called amahdinejad, who openly pronounce the destruction. In addition he is stockpiling weapons and rushing for a nuclear device to use. ANY country should react if threathened this way.
35. Israel's Allies
John Lawlor ,   Chicago, USA   (02.19.12)
Israel does indeed have loyal allies, including a staunch mJority here in the United States. Barrack Obama and his claque, however, are not among them. Grasping that threat, that dangerous rift, is vital for Israel and its leaders.
36. G'day Sheila........You're on the money!.
froike ,   NY NY   (02.19.12)
To the perceptive lady from Austalia...hat's off. If Obama is reelected the whole world is doomed...not just the US.
37. #28 Wow, look at that...
Phil ,   Ireland   (02.19.12)
Seeing as I'm Irish, you think I take offence to that? I'm proud to put up with just a small, tiny bit of what Jews have had to put up with for centuries. Understand?
38. #32 No, I don't mind....
Phil ,   Ireland   (02.19.12)
Sure you're probably Irish yourself .... or maybe Jewish. Or both!
39. #37 Miss the point much?
TaylorT ,   Earth   (02.19.12)
I wasn't trying to give you flak, but instead demonstrate the behaviour of many on this talkboard (all of whom share your views.) Pretty silly, isn't it?
40. #38, Phil from Ireland
Justin ,   Canada   (02.19.12)
It's nice what you're saying. It would also be nice if the world would recognize what Jews have contributed, just like the world recognizes what other civilizations have contributed. I much prefer that than to be accused of poising wells, spreading the plague, being the cause of all the world's problems and trying to take over the world. I think you'll agree. Thanks for your kind words. Take care.
41. Greece is with you
Anadelfos ,   Athens Greece   (02.20.12)
Israel is not alone and you must try to strengthen your relations with other nations.Greece, Cyprus, Bulgaria, Romania and Serbia are with you, as you represent the frontline of real democracy in this troubled area.We all remember how Iran was before Ajiatollahs, and how it turned to be now.It is a real pity for the iranian people.
42. #38 Phil
Lucky ,   USA   (02.20.12)
Thanks for your valuable loyalty. And regarding the Jew haters? Let them barking.
43. #39 Not missed a thing...
Phil ,   Ireland   (02.20.12)
What is silly is you missing the fact that Jews have contributed so much to this "Earth" that you hide in. Personally, it doesn't matter to me who thinks the Irish are stupid or drunkards or whatever. I don't get offended by that at all. And it certainly won't stop me from supporting Israel. I'm here to show not all Irish are ant-Israel. Silly me to think you can grasp all that.
44. #40 Spot on Justin. Thanks.
Phil ,   Ireland   (02.20.12)
45. #42 Thanks Lucky!
Phil ,   Ireland   (02.20.12)

Birdi ,   Israel & proud of it   (02.21.12)
Phil, from me too, a big thank you for your support & loyalty to Israel & us Jews. Keep posting Phil, your input and intelligence here is greatly appreciated.
47. # 41
Birdi ,   Israel   (02.21.12)
Thank you for your support, Anadelfos from Greece.
48. #46 Birdi
Phil ,   Ireland   (02.21.12)
Thank you for your kind words. You are right to be proud to be Israeli. I'm proud to be Irish but ashamed of what some of my compatriots (including my government!) say and do against your country.
49. Peace for Israel and Iran.
William ,   Sydney, Australia   (02.22.12)
Israel should assist Iran develop a peaceful nuclear industry. This would be a win for Israel’s economy and the Iranian people. If the Iranian’s are in fact philistines shouldn't Israel be the better country, Only an established middle class in Iran is capable of bringing democracy and peace to the region. Any attack on Iran will only breed another generation of fundamentalists. G
50. #49 William
Phil ,   Ireland   (02.22.12)
With respect William, have you not heard the rhetoric coming out of Iran? Have you not researched what is the goal of Iranian president? Israel would love a peaceful resolution and sign a peace treaty with Iran but for Israel to assist Iran develop a peaceful nuclear industry is something Iran would never agree to and Israel would be suicidal even to consider. You can't make peace with someone who wants your total destruction. Idealistic suggestions won't change that.
