Do you remember when the intifada began in 2000 and Jews, who were attacked by every Arab near them, even if they were best friends before the intifada, were afraid of traveling into Arab villages? The tourism and money dropped significantly. I remember when an Arab restaurant owner was on Channel 2 news, and stated that it was perfectly safe for Jews to return, and the Arabs needed tourism for their businesses. Then he ended with a threat that if Jews didn't return, the Arab population would explode and attack the Jews in Israel. Not exactly the master of marketing, but he was truthful.
