Thanks heavens the WW II Allies had more sense than to engage in a "peace process" with the Nazis. The Allies knew that only resounding victory over the Nazis would bring peace. To correct some historical inaacuarcies. The name "Samaria" (Somron)derives from an ancient city of the same name, which was located near the south of Samaria, and was the capital of the Kingdom of Israel. The Samarithans inhibited the area after the Israelites Assyrian exile. Means that the jews were there FIRST prior to the exile. Second, the Samarithans who came after the Israelites were kicked out of Samaria (Shomron), are genetically related to the jews of the times (see Shen et al., 2004).
