Look at those consequent verses in Sura 17 : … Lord of the heavens and the earth … (Sura 17:102) … he (Pharaoh) resolved to remove them from the face of the earth … (Sura 17:103) … Dwell securely in the land (of promise) .. {the correct translation is EARTH} (Sura 17:104) . in the thirs verse al-ARDH (in Arabic) should have been translated into Earth because of al- (the) which specifies it as the known to us EARTH. In Arabic there is only one word ARDH for both earth and land. If Ardh had referred to Land, then it should have been stated clearly "the" promised land. The correct translation is: "We made, as punishment, Bani Israel dispersed in the planet earth till the Final Day (Domesday or Judgment Day) when we summon them to Our Judgment." (Sura 17:104).
