31. makes Bibi seem like Beilin but it gets a laugh
avramele   (02.23.12)
Even the PM and the present Israeli government, as seen in the borders they have proposed in the last negotiating session, knows that 90% of the West Bank will not remain under Israeil sovereignity and that palestinians from at least Lebanon and Syria must return to the West Bank. The issue as always is not what the compromise is but getting the assurances that a final deal is struck or at least the conflict moving forward is to be acceptably contained. Bennett must just be practicing for a Purim spiel or maybe some of those hilltop youth have been sharing with him their better stash.

No stealing here. It's as much Jewish land as Jerusalem and Tel Aviv. I'll go along with disputed land-- like disputes about whether or not gravity exists. Questions about how much of our land to give to the neighborhood bullies so they won't kill us are legitimate. Telling us that we're stealing our land is not.
33. @ #24 where do palestinians come from
avramele   (02.23.12)
Most scientific and anthropologic evidence, bolstered by DNA testing show that the core of the Palestinian population has very similar roots as the core of the Jewish population. They are our closest genetic cousins and in fact Palestinians are closer to Ashkenazic Jews than to sephardim. Bottom line: both people have ties to the land and the region -neither is a total stranger not to the land nor to each other.
34. Israel should annex 60%
istrue.net ,   Raanana, Israel   (02.23.12)
Naftali Bennett has been saying that Area C should become part of Israel for months & it is a good plan. What is new is that he is saying Egypt should annex Gaza. But not sure how that would be feasible. Egypt don't seem to want Gaza and does Hamas want to be part of Egypt.

Israel should announce that policy as a further deterrent to attack.

39. Just one point of dispute
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (02.23.12)
The 50,000 Arabs living in the proposed area to be annexed have no right or claim to Israeli citizenship. They are Jordanian citizens, and should be repatriated, as every other country does with undesirable aliens.

It's not "Arab," it's "Erav." Very different.
42. Time to Annex all of Judea/ Samaria !!
Don Rosenberg ,   Palatine USA   (02.23.12)
There will be no permanent peace with the arab occupiers. Take over J/ S and kick out the terrorists fatah and hamass. They are just plain back stabbers and baby killers. Build , build and drive the arabs out. Maybe jordan will let Jews live there? Ok for muslim racism, but when Israel wants to drive out actual murderers its not OK.

Your extreme hatred and very poor education is clouding your common sense and spilling over onto everyone else's morning. Put a plug in it.
45. Bottom line: The bigger Israel is; the safer Israel is.
Chaim ,   Israel   (02.23.12)
The only reason Iran, and other genocidal entities, regard Israel as a "one bomb state" is because we ceded the Sinai and much of Judea and Samaria. The bottom line is simple: The bigger Israel is; the safer Israel is.
46. #43 it is you and your ilk who are the racists

48. this is a good idea
Richard ,   Manchester, UK   (02.23.12)
this needs to be implemented as soon as possible. This will create "facts on the ground" and help legitimize Israel's presence in its historic heartland. But is the report saying that there is no chance of an independent Palestinian state? There's no way a viable Palestinian state can function in areas A and B. Perhaps Israel should just annex the whole of Judea/Samaria and push for a Palestinian homeland in Jordan instead. Also, I agree with giving up Gaza and letting the Egyptians handle this terrorist-infested tract of land.
49. Chaim @ 45, practically every country is "one bomb state"
leo ,   usa   (02.23.12)
including Iran and even Russia.

My bad. Thanks for the correction.

Devorah   (02.23.12)
Wonderful, but the "palestinians" have not been in the land for 4,000 years like the Israelis. They are relative newcomers who have no claim to the land. They blew every opportunity they were given. No surprise about the DNA, etc., because there was some intermarriage, so don't go thinking they have a pure bloodline. Please cite the research.
52. Naftali Bennett
AL QUDS ALYAHUDI   (02.23.12)
Totally agreed with Mr Bennett. He is very sensible and courage. G D bless Mr Bennett.Israel needs leaders like Lieberman & Bennett with balls

It is quite predictable -- and worthy of scorn, actually -- that you should choose to cloak your vile comment in the shroud of anonymity. That said, let me explain this as simply as I can. The Arabs have started six wars, all of which were won by Israel. In 1967, Jordan attacked Israel, and lost non-sovereign Judea and Samaria as a result. Non-sovereign Judea and Samaria, having been acquired by Israel in the course of having fought a DEFENSIVE war, is Israel's to settle, keep and even annex. That's a simple matter of international law. Want precedent? Here you go: (i) Germany attacked Poland in 1939. Germany lost the war. Germany lost the Polish Corridor and some 1,700,000 ethnic Germans were promptly repatriated to Germany; (ii) Italy attacked Yugoslavia in 1940. Italy lost the entire province of Istria and some 2,000,000 ethnic Italians were promptly repatriated to Italy. I might add, for your enlightenment, that neither the Polish Corridor nor Istria were considered non-sovereign territory. There are, however, consequences to fomenting war .... and then losing. Six wars have been more than enough. Add to that the seven decades of unremitting Arab terror visited against Jews both in Israel and in the Diaspora, and the fact that all Arab residents of Judea and Samaria are Jordanian citizens, courtesy of Jordan's 1954 Citizenship Law, which conferred Jordanian citizenship upon all West Bank Arabs and their progeny irrevocably. Once Israel annexes Judea and Samaria -- in its entirety -- its Jordanian citizens will be repatriated to Jordan. Plenty of precedent. Arabs lie, but history doesn't. Most West Bank Arabs did not arrive in Israel until the 1930s, anyway, and they all came from elsewhere, to begin with. The fact that the ersatz "Palestinians" co-opted the identity as Palestinians from the Jews -- who have always been the REAL Palestinians, as Ottoman and British Mandate census records prove quite decisively -- does not give them any claim to Israeli soil. Most of them trace their roots to nomadic Bedouin tribes from the Hejaz in the Western Arabian desert; the balance came from Iraq, Egypt, Syria and Lebanon. Facts are facts. They are not racist, no matter how you choose to perceive them. Facts are merely the truth -- whether you like it or not.
54. SOLUTION TIME NOW SUSTAINABLE AND FAIR
Martin ,   SA   (02.23.12)
Yes we need to do this. Arabs are looking for a solution but are not allowed to agree to it if they they sell outs. They would very any but know in their heart of heart this the fair correct mov done with no apologies . What I like about it it forceful removals. I am concern that Bibi wont like it. I suspect he has some strange and inhiting agenda. I am sure legalities can easily brought to bare that we have jusidiction. We need to get a move on stabilise the area for the sake of bothsides. We need to be firm and curb expectation on both sides. For no realistic solution is acceptable solution An imposed solution after all attempts to come to a solution thats fair in the light of arab culture that continues to outwardly deligitmise us. By default are given the right deliniate livable secure boundaries. It is against our culture /biblical edict to allow arabs to acquire Jewish territory. Its time an informed leaders sorted this mess out for all our sakes. We can all go forward and build up our lives and security.
55. DNA testing
avramele   (02.23.12)
Googling the topic of palestinian Jewish DNA testing will get you to a bunch of articles and some primary research much of it done at Israeli Universities. As such testing reflects relationships going back thousands of years it is not simply marginal intermarraige but people whose ancestors lived together and overlapped for long periods in the past. Who and why this is gets into speculation but it more or less refutes the "recent arrivals" theory and notion that Palestinians were of significant Arabian or Bedouin origin. And BTW, since I let my beard grow I've been mistaken at airports and at chumus joints for an Arab more than once -- and me a litvak.

Breaking news to you who ever you are. Real Israelis DO want this solution. Now go crawl back under your rock with the rest of the worms.
58. to 33
Jennie ,   Israel/US   (02.23.12)
So what is your point, Avramele ? Are you siggesting, that despite their pathological hate for us and desire to innihilate Us, we need to remember, that they are our close "relatives" by DNA ? What is your point ? Do you want to invite chamas & fatach to share your discovery with them ? They will get really excited....NOT ! There is no such nation or people as "Palestinina people" ! You should know better, if you consider yourself even a little intellectual..They should be called by the name of the Arab countries they were born in, before they occupied Judea, Samaria and Gaza...
