This "revelation" in the LA Times seems to be part of the recent flood of leaks & declarations all intended to prevent any disturbing event to occur before the November US presidential elections, in particular any preemptive strike on Iran's nuclear plants. If this is not a public relation effort of Washington, then why were all those UN , EU & unilateral sanctions applied to Iran if the West believes Iran's intentions are all peaceful? Having been in Israel during the lead up to the yom kippur war and having been in the Sinai during that period I can attest how dismally inadequate and wrong was pre war intelligience and government wisdom.
