1. legitimate Israeli criticism involves the following:
Golan ,   modiin   (02.27.12)
Legitimate Israeli criticism involves 1. criticism that puts history in context 2. criticism that takes Israeli actions in context. 3. criticism that gives a realistic alternative to actions being taken by Israel 4. criticism that does not justify or humanize anti-Israel/Jewish civilian target of violence and terror 5. criticism that does not ignore international law which is the SAN REMO CONFERENCE Decision and not the UNGA. Criticism accuses or blames ONLY Israel/Jews for things that are inherently human faults IS anti-semitic. And so blaming Israel/Jews for global warming, economic depression, war, the election of Obama, the violence of Syria, Egypt, Saudi Arabia ect. is sheer racism.
2. great article mr. meotti!

Nahum Weiss   (02.27.12)
The Green phobia is repulsive
5. The better Israel does the greater their hatreds.
BUTSeriously ,   Sydney   (02.27.12)
Israel must mark her success by measuring the baseless hate.
6. Hate mongering
Rob Schwartz ,   Dornbusch   (02.27.12)
Fascist-like series from Giulio Meotti is continuing to pollute ynetnews and the Israeli media. When I compare Greens, esp. the German ones, then I must clearly warn all readers that he's wrong, grossly instigates, lies. He also is as racist as one can nowadays be.
7. the green Nazis forgot about Israel's other tactics
zionist forever   (02.27.12)
Spy squirrels sent to Iran Spy pigeons sent to Iran Spy vultures sent to Saudi Arabia Pigs trains wild pigs to destroy palestinian crops. Super rats to attack palestinians. Vipers trained to assasssinate palestinian farmers. Sharks sent to destroy the Egyptian tourist industry. Of course lets not mention the candy probably made by Strauss. Sweets designed to make palestinian teenagers sexually promiscuous and corrupt Muslim values. Sweets to make palestinian women infertile. The only thing they are actually right about is the fact that Ahava is a dirty business, you don't put mud on your body and expect to look like your nice and clean straight out the shower.
8. total ignorance
Portia ,   san diego   (02.27.12)
Has anyone told them to go check out the environmentally protected areas in Israel? The same areas that, should they be handed over in exchange for "peace", would end up looking like the wastelands the surrounding neighbors take care of?
9. #6 & racism
Anna ,   Montreal, Canada   (02.27.12)
your quote: " He also is as racist as one can nowadays be." Mr. Meotti is consistently exposing to us the actions of the anti-Semites whether those who falsely accuse Israel are the Jews or not. I want to point-out the word FALSELY. Those who looking for every possible way to harm or to bring the destruction of Israel became very sufficient in presenting to the public the distorting picture of about 7 million people. Just think for a moment about this number comparing to the population of any neighboring country. British dramatist David Hare, Reverend Naim Ateek, Suha Arafat, Eyal Weizman don't look for the cover of the label "Green activists". You black-mouthing Mr. Meotti without providing any relevant or even reliable fact and I would put your name right beside Eyal Weizman.
10. #1: Everything you say is right except...
Jack Cohen ,   San Diego   (02.27.12)
...that Jews (78% of American Jews) voted for HUSSEIN Obama
11. Giulio Meotti - the voice of truth, justice & reason!
Mina ,   Haifa, Israel   (02.27.12)
Thank you Giulio Meotti for yet another outstanding article and report. May you be blessed for your holy work, which exposes the truth and may even save lives. From a Jewish/Israeli supporter.
12. Richard Rogers
solomon ,   bklyn   (02.27.12)
From what I understand, Rogers dissociated himself from the Architects and Planners for Justice in Palestine (APJP) within weeks. He announced his withdrawal with the statement "I unequivocally renounce Architects and Planners for Justice in Palestine and have withdrawn my relationship with them." He said he was dissociating himself from APJP because of its published aims and "in view of the suggested boycott (of Israeli companies) by some members". Rogers later hardened his line, coming out with statements defending Israel's right to build its separation wall. He described the Israel-Palestine conflict as being between a "terrorist" state and a "democratic" one and said that he was "all for the democratic state".

Adriana Nahor ,   Tlv   (02.27.12)
It's amazing to' read all the lies they spread
14. "Greens" campaign
graczek ,   Maryland, USA   (02.27.12)
The "Greens" are spot on in calling the Zionists invaders of Palestine. The Jews were scattered from their land as the Lord's punishment for a whole litany of sins, and have filtered back there in defiance of God's Holy Decree. The "Greens" and other BDS campaigns are merely temporal manifestations of God's anger for the Zionists' latter-day transgression with regard to Holy Palestine.
15. Criticizing Israel has no bearing on Jews everywhere.
Michael ,   California, USA   (02.27.12)
Israel has objective reasons for being not perfect on ecological matters. With its very high population density, its security problems, and with immigrants not yet aware of the western attention to ecology, it is inappropriate yet to criticize Israel harshly. But let's face it, Israel could have done a better job on ecology. The effluents from its kurim, the broken and dug up olive trees, the fields full of weeds, the filth in poorer neighborhoods, all these speak louder than words. Israel can do better on educating its population through campaigns, for instance. This has nothing to do with world Jews who in their areas are very attentive to ecology, certainly in the U.S.. Jews are a culture and paying attention to ecology is deeply ingrained in the Jewish culture. Israelis are a Nation, a young nation, still developing and in need of many improvements. Israel is working hard on improving itself, but it definitely should work harder on ecology matters..
16. green @6 you're wrong
dr daniel mostrel ,   paris france   (02.27.12)
in france we see all the times the green party demonstrating side by side with the worst islamist movements with hezbollah or hamas flags (not alone together with the far leftists and not so far leftists)
17. Tel Aviv must be bulldozed too.
Istvan ,   BUDAPEST HUNGARY   (02.27.12)
And Israel must also reconstruct the original environment in the Tel Aviv area. All scyscrapers must be destructed and the sand dunes rebuild again. With the camels, of course.
18. The 'greeneyed Monster is working overtime.
tiki ,   belgium   (02.27.12)
These Greens see green from envy. Envy about the blooming JEWISH State of Israel. Envy about their successes in every field, envy about their financial state, envy about their blue skies & yellow beaches, envy about the variaties of colourfull fruits & veggies produced in Israel and last but not least...envy about colouring the yellow desert green. Can't even blame them, the poor green suckers.
19. #6. German Greens: Cohn-Bendit
Tom ,   USA   (02.27.12)
The real Red Fascist is Cohn-Bendit, one of the former leader of the '68 Parisian communist uprising. He's the German Greens EU parliamentarian today, a Bolshevik Jew like you. After the fall of Communism all former Bolshevik "renamed" themselves to innocuous sounding names like "green" "democrat" etc.
20. "Justice in Palestine"...already happened in 48 + 67.
Noodles ,   Coney Island   (02.27.12)
As if the sniveling liars have a leg to stand on.
21. In a few years
Steve from Raleigh   (02.27.12)
Israel will be largely oil and gas free. When that happens all the 'Green' NGO's must be permanently barred from entry to Israel and all NGO's and academic institutions that wish to partake of that renewable energy and water reclamation technology should be barred from accessing it or working with any Israelis or Israeli academic institutions which developed it. And Israel should call for a legal 'self-boycott' of all of it for all regional Arab nations and Iran and Malaysia before any of those nations make any sort of comment or complaint about it. To followed with a simultaneous Israeli withdrawal from any and all UN agencies that participate in 'Green' initiatives. In short, call them at their own game.
22. Let's count all who is against us.
Avi ,   NYC, USA   (02.27.12)
Going through the articles in YNET that mention who "hates" us, the Jews is like going through the intergalactic phonebook: The Greens, the Left wing, the Right wing, those in the Middle... wing, the Icelanders, the Blacks, the Muslims, the Catholics, Midwestern white Americans, WASPs, humanitarian organization, antihumanitarian organizations, the French, the British, the Irish, the Pollacks, the Russians, the South Americans, the Spanish, the Potuguese, the Swiss, the Swedes...and the list has just begun! There are medications, you know, that are quite effective in the treatment of delusional paranoia.
23. greens...
michel ,   Ashkelon   (02.27.12)
The idolatry of mother nature is an old chapter that never married very well with the believing in one G. .
24. #14 God's Holy Decree
Phil ,   Ireland   (02.27.12)
Ezekiel Chapters 36, 37 +38. Amos Chapter 9. Romans Chapter 11. Jeremiah Chapter 31. Zechariah Chapters 12, 13 + 14. Revelation Chapter 22. I could go on and on but all of these show God's Grace for the Jewish People. Your theology is the theology of the nest of vipers.
25. So true, the arabs have so many things to work on for
Hippocrates ,   Earth   (02.27.12)
themselves its mind boggling how upside down their world is....they burn tires so much, and shoot machine guns at weddings, now you tell me they are ecologically friendly? I've heard it all now...
26. #16 - isn't it because their flags are green?
William ,   Israel   (02.27.12)
27. #15 - true, but must be taken in context
William ,   Israel   (02.27.12)
The region as a whole is not very ecologically focused, especially in Arab oil countries where the ground and sea is polluted with petroleum run-off. The region, like most parts of the world, is still dealing with the over-use of pesticides to feed itself. The region, like most parts of the world, is still trying to build an economy which sometimes hits Mother Nature pretty hard. Still, many Israelis are very ecologically focused, if even to be ardent recyclers of bottles and cans. As with all new paradigms, it takes a generation or so to make it ingrained in a population. But let's talk about Pally areas for a moment. They over-pumped their aquifers effectively destroying them, they dump refuse and raw sewage on the ground and in rivers despite being offered to connect to a local treatment plant near a settlement, and they constantly burn tires, torch vehicles, and massively over-use pesticides. Israel has helped reduce Pally sewage dumping and wasting water in irrigation since 1967. Imagine what the West Bank, Gaza would look like if they were left to their own devices. The entire region would be in peril.
28. To #24:" God's grace for the Jewish..."
Avi ,   NYC, USA   (02.27.12)
Have you visited Auschwitz lately?
29. About green
Yossef   (02.27.12)
do you know that if we see the vegetation green it's because nature hate so much the green that it's the only color of the white light it rejects. We see the green because it's not captured by the plants but rejected, what a paradox for green-people (who love what natures hates) to live with...
30. Rather like the UK 'Animal Rights' bigots
Ian ,   Newcastle upon Tyne   (02.27.12)
We had similar problems in the UK in the 1970s and 80s with so-called animal rights activists whose propaganda included openly anti-Semitic advertisements. One particularly memorable event was a demonstration against the fur trade in the east end of London. The premises of Jewish furriers were attacked and damaged while those of adjacent non-Jewish furriers were left untouched. I learned to distrust so-called environmentalists, whom I generally call environment fascists,a long time ago. They pursue an anti-western agenda and are partly responsible for the parlous state of the British economy and Britain's electricity supply problems. The previous New Labour government jumped on their bandwagon and let themselves be led by the nose to Britain's disaster. THREE CHEERS FOR ISRAEL!!!
