1. get it over with
Todd ,   Baltimore   (03.03.12)
The quicker the US or Israel destroys Iran's nuclear program, the quicker the consequences, Hezbollah rockets and high oil prices can be dealt with. If the Iranians block the Strait of Hormuz, their navy and airforce will be destroyed in a few days, and the oil will start flowing again. If the Iranian people rally behind their regime, tough luck. None of them seem bothered that their own dictatorship is on the verge of being a nuclear weapons state.
2. Obama doesn't know who is the enemy.
Aurora Aronsson ,   Lund, SE   (03.03.12)
Obama is dangerous for America and for the free world.
3. Good news
Sheik, Rattle & Roll ,   USA   (03.03.12)
America needs another war like I need a hole in my head. If Israel wants to fight Iran it should do it alone, however if BIBI believes that it must act it should do so without American involvement whether it is military or diplomatic assistance. America has been doing all of the heavy lifting in regards to Iran such as sanctions etc. I haven't heard of Israel sanctioning anybody in regards to Iran. All Israel is doing is complaining about Obama and America when the real Israeli pressure should be directed at China, Russia, India etc the true sanction busters.
4. Obamas ideas will lead to -
Arn. ,   Sweden.   (03.03.12)
The US will not come first in the World, not even second, only third at the best. The World are loosing respekt for the US, because of Obama. Further - US urges Israeli patience on Iran Ahead of PM Netanyahu's visit to United States, US officials say Washington is 'trying to make the decision to attack Iran as hard as possible for Israel' Comment - Idiots !!!. Arn.Sweden.
5. The U.S. and their integrity?
Jake ,   West   (03.03.12)
The U.S. is nearly done as a world power. With a per capita debt worse than Greece, a leftist president and a useless congress what right have they to say anything any more? Not only that, the future looks bleak as they never seem to get anyone to run for either party that has any integrity as their presidents of old. The U.S. representatives I believe are no different than the ones that elect them to office. In reality, Obama could not care less about Israel. His policies in the Middle East have turned it into a nightmare, surrounding Israel with future enemies. If you watch the White House News releases, its like a bunch of two year olds, wisdom and for-site doesn't no longer exists. Vote left or right in the U.S. simply leads to bad international policy. Thanks to the U.S. citizens powers such as China, India and Russia are doing far better and will take center stage. Also, Western media is a joke, pushing their strange agendas over what would be good for the American citizen. It's time for them to clean up their act at home before the U.S. becomes a worse example than Rome. Even the Mexicans are returning home in droves as Mexico at this point looks better. Also, with the major cutbacks in military, good luck with retaining ay world rights! It is time to put that dead dog behind and start getting use to countries who really hold the power. The only place the U.S. really has power is in the minds of those who fall prey to Obama's rhetoric!
6. Fanatics do not know patience
Brod ,   USA   (03.03.12)
Islamist-Jihadist fanatics do not know patience. Obama's 'patience talk' is a code word for giving ample time to the Ayatollahist fanatics to complete their nukes. Israel should say NO to his crap. The dark forces share one common goal and that is the destruction of Israel.
7. Israeli paranoia will isolate Israel
esnuffnstl ,   USA   (03.03.12)
And do much more harm than Iran's nuclear program ever could. Obama is right: sanctions are hurting Iran and tougher sanctions are on the way. Iran's only ally (Syria) is in shambles and not likely to be a regional player for a long, long time. The EU is fully on board for sanctions, and even China/Russia are reconsidering Iranian oil contracts. Time is, indeed, on the side of those who want Iran to abandon its nuclear program and believe sanctions are the way to achieve it. By this summer, Iran will be ready to deal, and the broad outlines of a deal are already in place: Iran will ship its nuclear materials to a third country for processing in return for fuel rods. All this will be overseen by international monitors that will ensure every bit of nuclear material is accounted for (this will be tough, but can be done.) Under such an agreement, Iran will have no means to build a weapon. Furthermore, such an agreement will make it more likely a "persian spring" will occur. And when it does, it will greatly lessen the power of the Mullahs, reduce Iran's support for various terrorist groups, and cause Iranians to spend years and years focusing on themselves instead of Israel (much like what is happening now in Syria.) However if Israel attacks Iran, if Israelis feel Iran is somehow building a nuke when the eyes of every western intelligence agency are on it, then all bets are off. Firstly, little damage will be done to Iran's nuclear program (however it will teach Iran how to better bury its facilities in the future.) Iran's leaders will be given a boost and the Iranian people will "rally around the flag" in support of the Mullahs. No "persian spring" will occur. Various Med East nation/entities will back Iran and Iran will find itself a leader amongst them. It will perhaps even unite different factions in Syria, stopping the needed revolution there in its tracks. China and Russia will bring a resolution before the UNSC and the US (stabbed in the back by Israel) might not feel the motivation to veto it. The result being that instead of Iran being the one facing sanctions, Israel will. And the above scenario might be the best case of what will happen after an Israeli strike. The worse case being a regional war that finds Israel fighting on all its borders with the US reluctant to intervene (because Israel did EXACTLY what the US advised it not to.) This would truly be an "existential threat" for Israel. The only one happy to see Israel strike Iran, the only true winner, will be Saudi Arabia. Don't make the Saudis happy.
8. 'Israeli pressure should be directed at China, Russia'
TaylorT ,   Earth   (03.03.12)
Yes. It's like an adult child living in mom's basement incessantly complaining that Mom is 'holding him back.' The US is Israel's only friend and is working hard to bring tough sanctions against Iran. These attempts at the UN Security Council have been consistently blocked by Russia and China. What is Israel doing to apply pressure to Russia and China? Perhaps, at a minimum, they could stop selling highly-sensitive US technology to the Chinese. Just for starters, that is...
9. Obama
kapriza ,   tsafon   (03.03.12)
Is he shaking his finger at Bibi? Maybe that's where Jan Brewer got the idea.
10. Nothing new
Ben ,   USA   (03.03.12)
Nothing new in this article. Why even write it? The U.S. has had the same stance on Iran since Obama has been in office. Israel must show "patience" until Iran has the bomb. PATIENCE MY ASS !!! As an American I've lost patience with Obama.
11. and if you want a recap on little red riding hood...
oferdesade ,   israel   (03.03.12)

12. ISRAEL, IRAN...
SJOERD RUURD ,   PLANET EARTH   (03.03.12)
AS LONG AS IRAN REFRAINS FROM AGRESSION/AN ATTACK AGAINST ANOTHER COUNTRY/PEOPLE, OR/AND WHEN THE IRANIAN PEOPLE STILL ARE AWAY FROM DANGER, DISASTER, GENOCIDE, LEAVE IRAN, EVERY OTHER COUNTRY/PEOPLE IN PEACE, PROSPERITY...
13. Obama looks at Bibi in the face...then turns to look at his
Steven Wilson ,   Anchorage, Alaska   (03.03.12)
pole ratings on MSNBC......then looks back at Bibi.......then looks back at his pole ratings on ABC.......then looks back at Bibi........then looks at his pole ratings on CBS........... After doing this for an extended period of time....he looks back and Bibi Netanyahu is gone ....as well as the entire country of Israel....in a nuclear cloud of dust. Obama looks into the camera and tells the world........The sanctions worked!
14. Dennis Ross --Always wrong
RayS ,   USA   (03.03.12)
Depemding on Obama for Israel's existence is STUPID. Obama hates Israel and has shown it by all his actions since becoming an adult. He will drag out "sanctions" until Iran has ther bomb and then say it's too late
15. Israel and Iran, the same idiot comments against Obama.
Michael ,   California, USA   (03.03.12)
It seems this tb and Teheran Post print the same things, from the same idiots, every day. Obama knows to ignore it. Me also.
16. ISRAELS' OPTIONS
MR CYNIC ,   SAFED OPERA HOUSE   (03.03.12)
1] To be patient as the US is suggesting and to accept the consequences . 2} To try and attack iranian nuclear installations and to accept the consequences.
17. PATIENCE IS A VIRTUE
DA URBAN POET ,   SAFED OPERA HOUSE   (03.03.12)
Patience is a virtue , find it where you can , never in a woman , seldom in a man . And time is onIrans' side ,not Israels' side.
18. Israel must protect itself, not help the Obama re-election..
MK   (03.03.12)
campaign. That is a countries right and America would do the same.
19. WHY WAIT ? WHAT FOR ?
ALBERTO EINSTEIN ,   SAFED OPERA HOUSE   (03.03.12)
A simple question : why wait for the inevitable when one can hope to prevent it ? a simple equation . Patience x 2 [ plus/minus 3% error ] = getting well shafted . One hopes and prays that Mr .Netanyahu has the brains to do the right thing ,whatever that may be.
20. Oh' Israel
solomon   (03.03.12)
As long as Israel is filling the pockets of DC, they will send Americans in to do their bidding. Israel will learn their lesson after sending the world into WW3. The worlds other powers are sick of "the world police" and their sidekick baby Israel. People will remember and hate Israel you seal your own fate.
21. WHAT TO DO ?
DA RAP ARTIST ,   SAFED OPERA HOUSE   (03.03.12)
There is much disinformation /deception taking place to fool Iran or to mislead it. None of us know what will be or what US intentions are regarding iran and its nuclear programme. However , I respectfully suggest that Prime Minister Netanyahu ask himself ,in all honesty ,who or what he fears more : iranian nuclear weapons ,or President Obama ? Bibi needs to " man up " because israel may not get any second chances.
22. BE PATIENT MY FRIENDS
THE KENYAN ,   SOMEWHEREVILLE USA   (03.03.12)
Wait ,until iran has 120 nukes.
23. #5 jake
solomon ,   bklyn   (03.03.12)
If the US is 'done' as a world power, why are you and everyone else so concerned about what it would do?
24. #20 Sol, Agree, the country that bombs first will be cursed.
Michael ,   California, USA   (03.03.12)
In addition, Israel will be shooting itself in the foot if it is the first to attack because it will be counter-attacked by numerically overpowering and suicidal force. A very stupid option to consider.
25. #7 esnuffnsti
solomon ,   bklyn   (03.03.12)
Interesting, how you and only you know the future so well.
26. #12 sjoerd
solomon ,   bklyn   (03.03.12)
Except that Iran has already attacked, through Hamas, Hezbollah, (killing US Marines and French soldiers in Lebanon), US embassies, Jewish institutions throughout the world....We've already gone through this; don't you remember?
27. #20 solomon
solomon ,   bklyn   (03.03.12)
Israel has never told the US to do its bidding, nor do they have enough money to 'buy' congress. You simply ignore the fact that they agree with Israel, not with you. Interesting that you now speak for "the worlds powers". People like you already hate Israel, so that shouldn't worry them. "A Solomon", you're not.
28. The longer you wait!
Taz Man ,   USA   (03.03.12)
Obama and his cronies, whether Republican or Democrat, are only trying to stall. For Obama...it's because he's trying to protect his Muslim brothers; as for the others'...they are just cowards. Israel doesn't them; they need to turn to God and repent and acknowledge His sovereign Will. God will fight their battles...as He did in the days of old. God bless, Israel and His Jerusalem! A Christian Zionist
29. ISRAEL, IRAN, THE UNITED STATES....
SJOERD RUURD ,   PLANET EARTH   (03.03.12)
THE UNITED STATES IS NOT A SUBSTITUTE FOR THE ENTIRE UNITED NATIONS ORGANIZATION. IT CAN HAVE AN INTER-GOVERNMENTAL, INTER-NATIONAL, BI-LATERAL RELATION WITH ANOTHER COUNTRY. IT ALSO HAVE A UNO-MEMBERSHIIP SINCE 1945. THE ENTIRE UNITED NATIONS ORGANIZATION HAS IT''S OWN ROLE, FUNCTION TO DO, SINCE THE SAME YEAR, DESPITE IT''S MISTAKES, LACKS...
