1. Set Pollard free !!!!!!
Chris Rettenmoser ,   Bayerisch Gmain Germ   (03.05.12)
2. Release all 4,772 Palestinian prisoners, for Pollard
Steven Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (03.05.12)
3. Pollard is a victim
Sidney ,   USA   (03.05.12)
But we do not know for what. Is it Caspar Weinberger's virulent anti-Semitism? Is it a CIA coverup using Pollard as an American Dreyfus? Certainly, it is of American presidents and judges who are afraid of damage to their careers from the Pollard haters. He is also a victim of the shameless judge who misused his authority - he accepted a plea bargain then reneged after secret testimony from Weinberger in the absence of Pollard's lawyers. Moreover why didn't Clinton pardon Pollard at the end of his term, somebody had to scare him?
4. Take heart Jonathan Pres."X" will free you !

5. The spy and traitor should stay in jail

6. Obama slows trying WikiLeaker Manning to keep Pollard jailed
Dr. L. Brnd ,   San Diego, USA   (03.05.12)
The Obama administration has delayed for nearly two years a trial for WikiLeaks source Private Bradley Manning, because the charge against him, "mishandling government documents" is exactly the same one Pollard pleaded guilty to, and received a life sentence for a crime that had a maximum sentance of twenty five years years [- and Pollard has already served one year more than this]. The law has been changed, and the maximum sentence is now 16 years, which is what Manning will likely receive for stealing 300,000 secret and top-secret documents from Hillary Clinton's State Dept. There would then be no basis for continuing to hold Pollard, whose 5-year plea bargain sentence was converted to a life term by the judge after Caspar Weinberger delivered fraudulent "secret evidence" to the court that blamed Pollard for intelligence failures that were actually the work of Aldrich Ames, Hansen and the Walker spy rings, which continued to operate in the US for years with devestating effect thanks to the lies of Weinberger blaming Pollard's harmless leaks to Israel - and then the lies of George Tenet[who didn't want to look the US intel agencies for missing the real spies].

Joe ,   London   (03.05.12)
We release 100s of murderers in exchange for one soldier. I think America can probably afford to release pollard.
8. If you want him realeased so bad why didn't
ben   (03.05.12)
you just agree to continue the freeze on the ileagal settlments when Obama and Hilary Clinton offered. A 6 month extention probably would have one it. Sound like you whan to have your cake and eat it too. PS It wasn't even a real freeze, It was just on new settlments Israel kept working on the ileagal settlments they had already started
9. No chance any Pres will release a tyrant
David ,   Israel   (03.05.12)
Its a political move that will end their career
10. It is Vice President Biden who is Roman Catholic who
Rivkah   (03.06.12)
persuaded President Obama NOT to pardon Jonathan Pollard. So one must go over Joe Biden's head to the Pope to get him to cooperate with a pardon for Pollard. President Perez and Prime Minister Netanyahu need to have an audience with Pope Benedict XVI to request the release of Jonathan Pollard. If he orders Biden to change his stance, then Obama might pardon Pollard. The Popes rule over Kings and Presidents for those in that religion.
11. he is a spy, why would you set him free?
johnny ,   norway   (03.06.12)
i'm sure if Israel has Russian or Iranian spy they would not set him free. america had the right to keep him for as long as they want.. he tried to leak secret information... if you disagree then your one sided ignorant hypocrite. like this website when they only post my posts if i was with Israel side..
12. Peres ha ha ha
Shalom Hartman   (03.06.12)
"Peres says discussed Pollard pardon with Obama" . . . and probably begged him to keep Pollard imprisoned until after Peres has died . . .
13. Whats the answer?
Lenya ,   Australia   (03.06.12)
Usually when you ask for something there should be an answer...So Is it Yes or No? Or is it we'll see? How come Peres didn't share an answer with Mrs Pollard?

solomon ,   bklyn   (03.06.12)
Russian agents spying in the US caused the death of many US agents in Russia. They also stole information about the US. They have all been released and repatriated to Russia. However the secrets Pollard gave to Israel caused no deaths to any Americans. The information stolen was about the arab countries, Israels enemies, not about the US; information that the US was obliged by treaty to give Israel but didn’t. (johnny: so who is the one sided ignorant hypocrite?)
15. #8 ben
solomon ,   bklyn   (03.06.12)
There already was a 10 month freeze, during which the arabs did nothing, nada. Israel understood the arab ploy to keep extending the freeze again and again. They decided not to play the arab's game. They are smarter than you. Live with it.
16. To: No. 11
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (03.06.12)
Well, your words might actually convey meaning were it not for the fact that there is no shortage of Americans who worked for the Soviet Union, China and North Korea who were sentenced to short terms and are now living free and probably continuing with their espionage on behalf of America's enemies. You are TRULY an ignorant hypocrite, and you really need to shut up.
17. To: No. 8
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (03.06.12)
Were you to learn English to the extent of being functionally literate, I might do something besides laugh at your illiterate posts. You're an idiot. Work on that. By the way .... have you ever heard of Alger Hiss? Whittaker Chambers? Aldrich Ames? Robert Hansen? Just askin'.

phil ,   Ireland   (03.06.12)
19. I still wonder what else Pollard did...
Dorothy Friend ,   Tel Aviv   (03.06.12)
.... to get the sentence he did. I thought from Day 1 that he did far more than spy for Israel to get such a sentence, and that it is being hushed up to prevent retaliations against American Jews. No way that I will deny that the state department always has been antisemetic, but Pollard's sentence goes beyond that. Also, as I said before, ask yourselves why Israel's supposed great buddy, George Bush the Second didn't pardon Pollard. Must be a darn good reason for that.
20. #18 Why?
Phil ,   Ireland   (03.06.12)
21. Stupid is as stupid
ben   (03.06.12)
does. Gee what doe it sat when you have nothing else to say but attack someones literacy. The bottom line is that Obama and Clinton were desperate and dangled the release of Pollard in hopes of the Nutty Yahoo extending thr settlment freeze. Bibi said no. If he had extended the freeze say 6 months Pollard would have been free over a year ago. Sorry if you guys [ Sara ] can't deal with that.
22. His fate is a sharp, needful warning to all dual nationals
Cameron ,   US   (03.06.12)
US citizenship & loyalty are not to be treated casually or betrayed. Tread with care.
23. To #14 your kidding right?
Patlippe ,   US   (03.06.12)
When it comes to Israel there's always a reasonable explanation heinnnn? A spy is a spy whatever nationality he have. Why you can't be for one time honest about something? You want to spy on other people and leak sensitive information and secrets and then say "oh our spy is different", but when people do the same against you then you call them terrorist ! No wonder no one likes you !
24. He better not release that "American" traitor
Sheik rattle & roll ,   USA   (03.06.12)
Obama should of told Peres to get the %$# out of my office for interfering in our internal affairs regarding our American prisoner/traitor who's religion happens to be Jewish. Us Americans can give a rat's a$$ about religion when it comes to traitors. Pollard is an American and not an Israeli, so take your efforts and free VANUNU from house arrest.
25. Pollard will be released over our dead bodies...
Patriotic ,   American   (03.06.12)
26. #23 patlippe
solomon ,   bklyn   (03.07.12)
You do not respond to anything I've written; that says something about any 'even handedness' you profess to have. Pollard did do something different, whether you want to gloss over that or not. If hearing facts is not your cup of tea, don't read these posts.
27. more like until Pollard died
Robyn ,   Philadelphia, USA   (08.29.15)
Peres wants him to die in prison! So he doesn't get hurt!-Peres not Pollard, he wants Pollard to get hurt!
