2. Islamic life = very little value..
Beary White ,   Norway   (03.10.12)
One Quassam cost about £500. Two rockets passet the Iron Dome, and a total of 15 pals are killed. That gives us a tag-value like £67 pr terrorist. This is the price on a terrorist, created by their own leaders. No wonder they are using suicide-bombers if a terrorist life is worth only £67..... its like one full tank of gazoline
3. Twisted reality, bizarre logic.
Ros ,   Israel   (03.10.12)
The iron dome Is a missile protection system, your post goes against protection? This goes well with the foreign European logic that Israelis are not entitled for normal life or protection of life.
4. Forget the Persians
Cameron ,   USA   (03.10.12)
You got bad shit to deal with right now today.
5. Justice
Mike ,   Los angeles   (03.10.12)
We have the best military equipment but still losing the war. We dont feel just. We dont feel we have justice on our side. Only by applying our sense of justice and rightness will we be able to win. Iron dome and the rest are only icing on the cake.
6. Unfair
s B   (03.10.12)
Multi Billion dollar Iron Dome + military vs home-made 3kg rockets, no military and defenseless citizens, Only jews would smile and gloat at this!
7. IDF
joske ,   sweden   (03.10.12)
....IS THE BEST
8. That's a great success rate. Hard work shows.Congratlations.
Michael ,   California, USA   (03.10.12)
9. terrorist value
daze ,   US   (03.10.12)
Beary White, your math is off. arab terrorists fall in the vile and worse than useless category, so you could kill off a whole heap more of those guys and still not reach any value let alone a tank of gas
10. This is insane ludicrous if you want. Why
Dyslexic........ ,   Israel....   (03.10.12)
do we have to wait for them to shoot first before we have too retaliate. We should shoot first and then wait for them to beg us for a ceasefire.Just using our air force is not good enough. We have send in the troops and smash their infrastructure. Its the only language they understand.
11. To: No. 6
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (03.10.12)
Do you seriously mean to suggest that Israel should ignore all the missile fire from Gaza? The Gazans are lucky that Israel has not bombed them non-stop. Look at what NATO did in Iraq and Afghanistan. No armies there, either, just terrorists. Yet nearly one million civilians were killed. I invite you to come stand under a Gazan missile when it lands. Perhaps you will change your alleged "mind."
12. IDF prepared? hahahahahahohohohoh
(03.10.12)
13. #1, or be like your country and be refuge for Hizballah
Cynic ,   USA   (03.10.12)
Remember how your country did nothing while Hiz/Iran blew uo the Jewish Center. Or was that ok because it was just dead Jews
14. success rate = 20%, although failure rate = 70%
observer ,   Egypt   (03.10.12)
with the assumption that Iron Dome doesn't intercept rockets whose destination are to be empty fields, and assuming that rockets accuracy is fifty-fifty, then success rate of hit is 20%
15. To #14: the new arab nobel in statistics.
Ari ,   USA   (03.10.12)
You genius. The success is measured in interceptions. Not in destinations. Only when you get back to school will be able to defeat Israel. Keep trying.
16. Rate of success is 30/32 = 93.75%. Good, very good!
Michael ,   California, USA   (03.10.12)
The article says thirty rockets were fired on southern cities. Ehud Barak is quoted as saying that 30 were intercepted out of 32 fired on southern cities. That's 93.75% success rate using Ehud Barak's numbers. These are very good numbers, no matter how you look at it. Gazans will be wise to start negotiating instead of firing.
17. Why did Israel stop development of the LASER??
Salim ,   Canada   (03.10.12)
18. #17 because interceptors are costly, each is $50,000
observer ,   Egypt   (03.10.12)
19. That's the General Joshua "Can Do" spirit.
Rivkah   (03.11.12)
Now if HaShem will send some hornets to afflict the Gazans and Hezbollah in Lebanon and the leaders of Iran and other enemies to drive them out...
20. Take the cost of the Iron Dome interceptors
jason white ,   afula, israel   (03.11.12)
and use the same money for 155mm artillery shells. Hit the gaza civilians and infrastructure non stop till they surrender. They target our civilians, then we should target their civilians.
21. Because it would not be ready in time.
boris ,   usa   (03.11.12)
American companies have been developing laser all this time internally and still no reliable successes. Now two American companies develop what should be advanced version of Iron Dome with both defensive and offensive rockets. This way, no need for AirForce or Artillery involvement.
22. At the same time, keep an eye/ear out towards Iran
Barbara ,   Haifa Israel   (03.11.12)
23. Yes! More fire extinguisher!
YCS ,   IL   (03.11.12)
24. # 6
Birdi ,   Israel   (03.12.12)
Whether its a 1 kilo or 3 kilo rocket its falling & damage still affects people in southern Israel who have been under constant barrage of these rockets for the last 9 years. Can you imagine what its like to have under 1/2 a minute(before the rocket explodes) to find yourself a protected area? Can you imagine the fear & trauma the citizens of southern Israel are going through now & have been going through for the past 9 years? You dont have a clue how frightening these 3 kilo rockets are when they are in your vicinity. Shame on you for your callous talkback.
