1. Todays IDF is weak and ineffectual...Gantz must go
Al   (03.13.12)
Tell yoursleves what you want. The IDF under Gantz and his political bosses, Barak and Netanyahu is weak and ineffectual to the point of being laughable. A mottly group of terrorists rain hundreds of missiles on Israel while the once great IDF hides behind PR BS. They wax poetic about a semi useless iron dome. God are they thick. The best defense is an all out offense. Its called a blitzkreig. Its what allowed Israel to win the 67 war. Todays IDF can not defend the country. I pity the Jews of Israel.. You are in deep water. Pathetic...very sad indeed.
2. Its not over untill we take back Gaza.
Dyslexic... ,   Israel...   (03.13.12)
Because this is going too go on for years too come. These terrorists live with this violence and hate, that is all they know, for them it is a every day way of life.Ask them what is a school or a college is, they do not have the faintest idea what your asking them.Give them a gun this they understand.

5. "It's not over until it's over"
Alf Red ,   Londonistan - Israel   (03.13.12)
And every person able to think logically and feel like a normal human being knows (unlike the chief of staff Bennie Gantz) that it will not be over until Gaza is utterly and finally crushed. Otherwise we shall have what we do have now - endless bloody cat & mice game. Now - can somebody explain to me and all other readers: why is that game going on and on and on? And what would be the result of couple of "Fadjr" longer-range missiles landing in Ramat-Aviv? It is obvious to me (like a lot of others) that words about Sderot being like Tel Aviv - are blatant LIE. Nobody cares about Sderot, nobody cares about sovereign borders of our country. No country in the world would tolerate endless bloody provocations, no other country would allow bands of murderers to hoard year after year thousands rockets on it's borders - AND USE THEM.
6. Gantz a leader ? What an incredible disappointment !

Thank you for the obviously "knowledgeable" military advice you gave us, but sadly we cannot do what you suggest because unlike other countries you may be used to, in a true Democracy the army is controlled by the government and not the other way around. In Israel, IDF performs the government orders and I don't remember any politician giving the order for a "blitzkrieg" in Gaza. Did I miss anything that you discovered? As for Iron Dome, you totally missed the point and misunderstood the numbers and how Iron Dome works. Iron Dome shoots down only rockets which can do damage. Rockets falling outside sensitive targets (civilian polulation, strategic and military targets) are ignored. Out of those 222 rockets fired AT Israel, roughly 40% landed inside Gaza (nice sharpshooting!), 60 actually managed to get through and threaten targets, 56 were shot down, 4 actually hit targets and the rest fell outside any targets, but inside Israel. I'd say that Iron Dome performend well above ANY expectations, beyond its official performance envelope. Calling it "semi-useless" is an proof of clinical stupidity. As you can see, YOU are pathetic Sir, not us, for entirely missing the point and exposing your glaring ignorance in public. Nice try to demoralize too. Pity it falls on ears which are more intelligent than your average audience in the Muslim world. C'mon - give us some credit!

11. no "innocents"
Dimitar ,   Bulgaria   (03.13.12)
The "civilians who were nearby" are NOT innocent. What comes out - when militants launch rockets nearby their houses, it's OK, but when IDF retaliates, they're "innocent victims", huh? It's patent hypocrisy!
12. Gaza and its Undetered Terrorists !
Emanuel ,   Toronto, Canada.   (03.13.12)
I am ashamed and disappointed in the weak response of the IDF, and its weakling consent to ceasefire when the miserable Jihadists carry on launching missiles at Israel. Israel should FORGET ! about Iran attack !! we are not capable even to stop a small miserable terrorist group. How wil you stop IRAN ???
13. agree with Alf
real vision ,   usa   (03.13.12)
israel's response needs to be much greater to each and every rocket attack. And for israel to continue to let food and medical aid into gaza during rocket attacks is nuts. The gazans will never be thankful. They think israel is soft and weak. During every rocket attack, Israel should SHUToff all electricity to gaza
14. Aluf Gantz does not impress me.
Gideon Reader   (03.13.12)
Another technocrat? I prefer generals with a taste for good booze and red meat (figuerativley). They tend to wanting to kick the BG (bad guys) butt and enjoy doing it rapidly. surely Israel still must have one of thise left over and gatheriing dust on a shelf somewhere? And by the by,...The response should be "It's over when we have finished stomping your mangy ass into a mud puddle, Achmed".
15. God is protecting the residents of Sderot
real vision ,   usa   (03.13.12)
God is protecting the residents of Sderot and Netivot and the south. We wish you well while israel leadership continues to run a weak response against hamas and the other islamic trash.Israel leadership thinking that it will attack iran is a pipedream if it cannot even figure out which tunnel all the rockets and other weapons are coming thru.
16. #1 gantz is not the problem
israel israeli ,   tel aviv   (03.13.12)
Gantz is not the problem. The problem is the corrupt politicians who imported Arafat to Israel, gave him territory, legitimacy and arms. The same corrupt politicians who now ignore reality and keep pushing their messianic belief in "the process". Zionists warned of exactly this scenario, warned of the rockets and warned of the IDF's inablity to defend the civilians. Despite the fact that the Zionists have been proven right, the Leftists ignore reality. That is the problem.
17. #9 Another lame rant from an illiterate bufoon!

18. Pathetic. Gantz must go!
Chaim ,   Israel   (03.13.12)
Gantz provides yet another illustration of the fact that Israel's worst problems are her leaders. Not her enemies. For the likes of Gantz, lunacy is defined as "pragmatism". Can you imagine if the WW Allies had the policy of "quiet for quiet"? Hitler would have easily won the war. What little was left of the world would all speak German. Pathetic. Gantz must go!
