1. Israel treating Gazan boy!
Mick ,   Australia   (03.15.12)
It is so sad to say this, but the time needs to arrive where israel ceases its humanitarian efforts with Arabs who live in enemy countries and territories. It's enough now. Close the border until they change. Cease all power, utilities & assistance unless it serves israel' s purpose. Every cent it cost to help this boy should have been directed towards a needy child in Israel. Charity begins at home.
2. WW2 would still be raging if Israel was around then
ab   (03.15.12)
German wounded would be transferred to Israeli hospitals and fuel plus everything else would have been transported from Israel to Germany
3. Treating a boy whose father says was
RobertHaymond ,   Israel/Canada   (03.15.12)
a victim of Israeli fire from a drone whereas we say his injury was caused by fire from an enemy launching pad in Gaza. So we'll only get complaints about this anyway. And, still, we are taking in other patients from Gaza. We must be out of our minds. They absolutely hate us. Did anyone see the images of "bereaved" Gazans during funeral processions for their "heroes" killed by Israeli gunfire or launches from our airforce? They loathe us and anyone of them might become the next "shahid". Yet we pat ourselves on the back and think we are "moral" because we take in their sick. They despise us even more because of our perceived weaknesses. It's not only the money and attention spent on them but our secret pleasure thinking how benevolent we are. In actuality, we should destroy our enemies, very decisively destroy them just as Moses did to the Pahroah's army. What's the point of our holy scriptur? if we don't learn anything from it.
4. I have a better idea
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (03.15.12)
Let the Hamas hospitals treat this Gazan boy. His father's claims are about as believable as the tooth fairy. One does wonder, however, why the father recognizes the wisdom of eschewing Gaza "medicine." The words "fraud" and "phony" come to mind. Let Hamas take care of its own. And Israel should very definitely deduct the cost of the medical care of this boy from the ridiculous amount of funds transferred to Hamas every month. Just think: no missiles, no mortars -- no injuries. What a concept!
5. #1, #2, #3 Are we to be a ‘light unto the nations’ or not?
solomon ,   bklyn   (03.15.12)
Our holy scripture also tells us to treat everyone as a human being, and to help whenever possible. During modern warfare, there have been many instances of enemy wounded being treated. There is a famous story of two Americans, medical corpsmen, who treated both Americans and Germans in Normandy, right after D-Day, even as the battlefield around the church they were in shifted from side to side. We Jews say we are a ‘light unto the nations’. This is the time to live up to it.
6. Solomon, Light, BUT not suckers!!
Dr. Jack ,   Canada   (03.15.12)
Solomon!! We should be the "light unto the nations", but not the "suckers unto the nations!! Got it??
7. it is standard practise during war time
(03.15.12)
to give medical treatment to enemy combatants. And its certainly expected that civilians will be treated. However if the boy was really hit by an Israeli drone attack its hard to believe his father would be able to find nice things to say about Israeli doctors. Something does not add up in this story.
8. Forgive my nasty sarcasm...but the world
Israeli 2   (03.15.12)
expects nothing less of us. We suppose to be their philanthropists ....so .....we are in keeping with our tradition.

Is it possible that Hamas refused to treat the Gazan boy?
10. Treating Arabs
Schmidlap ,   Canada   (03.15.12)
The EU should pay for Arabs who are treated in Israeli hospitals.
11. really not to difficult. analyze the shrapnel and burns for

chemicals. i'm sure both use different fuel and metals. but do it not back off cz some lefty doesn't want us to know.

Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (03.15.12)
Sadly, no. But how does that make him Israel's responsibility? Who in their right mind brings a boy to a terrorist missile-firing endeavor, anyway? I have a fifteen year old (well, fourteen actually; fifteen in August). Trust me when I tell you that he will not be brought to a missile firing site in this -- or any other -- lifetime. What does THAT say about his Mummy and Daddy? That, by the way, is the REAL question.
13. Gazan boy burned
Janey ,   Henderson Ky. USA   (03.15.12)
Didn't anyone tell the boy that you are supposed to run after you lite the fuse? .....Janey
14. #6, #3 - He's a child - end of story!
William ,   Israel   (03.15.12)
The little boy deserves our compassion and efforts to save his life. As the doctors said - we will treat anyone in need regardless of where they are from. Now, I would want to extend that right to Haniyeh, but would to his children. Children are innocent in this conflict, despite Gazan terrorist using them as shields and soldiers. If you're a parent, there would be no second thoughts.
15. Ever notice how ....
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (03.15.12)
... they are always "walking home from school" or "picking flowers for their mothers" or "going to the mosque to pray?" Never -- but NEVER -- are they assisting in the perpetration of a terrorist act. One wonders how it is even possible -- given the oft-claimed ersatz "Palestinian" version of events -- that 11,000 missiles have been fired from Gaza into Israel. You play with fire (no pun intended) -- expect to get burned.
16. Treating the enemy
Elihu ,   Efrat, Israel   (03.15.12)
I think it is important to treat teens like this - simply because it is the right thing to do. The father is lying about the source of the injury but then he is probably not free to tell the truth, either. On the other hand, he and his son now know the truth first-hand- about his own leadership and the Israelis who saved the boy's life.

solomon ,   bklyn   (03.15.12)
Treating someone who got hurt is not being a sucker. It is being a Jew. Got it?
18. Sarah B,
Bad Assed Jew ,   United States   (03.17.12)
The pals are specialists in terror and assassination of Jews. Their Dr's aren't as advanced in saving lives as are the israelis. I agree, the pals should treat their own but, then, why should they when israel welcomes the victims who will live another day to try and murder Jews again.?
