3. The right to demonstrate
andyboy ,   Israel   (03.16.12)
Those who deliberately place themselves in harm's way must be willing to take the consequences. The right to demonstrate is balanced by the right of the authorities to control the effects of the demonstration and secure public order. The London riots last year were an example of what happens when authority abrogates that right and gives up on control.

Mr. Gantz (who happens to double as COS IDF on every Shabat), must immediately return from the USA, in order to bestow the ITUR HA MOFET to this Tzahal hero. He (the cluvluv) must also be promoted to the rank of Rav Samal Rishon = Sargent, for his approach to courage far beyond and above the call of duty. Kol ha kavod ve Shabat Shalom to you dear doggie. Keep up the mezuian work.

19. Not really assault - look at the dog's mouth
William ,   Israel   (03.16.12)
The dog, like all canines trained for law enforcement, is using just enough force to hold on to the person, but not to break skin or cause injury. The job of a canine in law enforcement is to pursue, capture, and hold suspects, and this dog was trained to do just that. It's legal to use them...even among the whiny terror supporters protesting here. They should consider themselves lucky the IDF didn't use tear gas which is more dangerous (though also very legal).
20. #1 - Like Listerine mouthwash?

24. Oketz ....
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (03.16.12)
... certainly lived up to his name. Good doggie! The ersatz "Palestinian" protester is darned lucky that Oketz isn't a pit bull.
25. Poor dog needs some mouthwash now
Carl ,   USA   (03.16.12)
From the film, the dog had already let go by the 2:20 mark, NOT 10 minutes as falsely claimed by AP!
26. The Choice to Participate in the Assault Was His Own. nonthe
Douglas Fireman ,   Chicago, USA   (03.16.12)
It was the Palestinian's choice to participate in the assault. In my opinion, there are consequences for ones' actions. The dog was trained to do the right thing. The Palestinian was out of control and was totally responsible for his canine inflicted wound. In the meantime, Kol ha Kavod to the Dog.
27. Good idea...
Malone ,   Hfx   (03.16.12)
Israel should create a "Pit Bull Brigade" and turn them loose every time there's a rock throwing demonstration...but then I suppose PETA would object.
28. give a dog a bone
Sam M ,   UK   (03.16.12)
A clip will shortly appear on 'you tube' showing a dog gnawing at a bone. This we will be told is all that remains of this innocent victim of zionist aggression and brutality!
29. 10 minutes ?
deavman ,   Acco Israel   (03.16.12)
The video shows that immediately after the dog starts holding the man's hand the soldiers get busy to remove the hand from the dog's mouth. At 2:25(not 10minutes) the man is freed and the rest is just conjectures. Of course we can't see why the dog was released onto the protester. May be a mistake may be intended so, but while 1000's of civilians are being slaughtered in their own house in Syria, the world stays busy monitoring the "war crimes" of a dog.... Hypocrisy at its best.
30. Justice
Scott ,   Tallahassee, Fl   (03.16.12)
Throw rocks at our troops, get your arm shattered by a canines teeth. Hope the lesson got across to those neanderthals.
