31. #8 How are YOU as a neighbour?
Robert ,   Australia   (03.18.12)
I wouldn't want to live in your neghbourhood.
32. Empathy
israel israeli ,   tel aviv   (03.18.12)
It is touching that these protesters have enough empathy to try and help the people, even though they are illegal economic refugees. Funny how these same people cheered and celebrated when Sharon's forces brutally and illegally evicted Jews from their homes, stole their property and put them in refugee camps.

Typical no nothing Yank! You no nothing about Israel! Now go away!

Wow. Such a vile and racist monologue certainly doesn't belong in this century. I'm quite shocked.

"Birthright citizenship" hasn't been the law for quite a while. Check your "facts." These days, they are deported, with their child. Quite a few choose to leave the child behind; not, as you may suspect, in order to provide them with a better life, but because their whole purpose in having a child was to create an American citizen. Without that, the child is all too often simply abandoned.
36. why are Israelis often so hostile?
Swiss woman ,   Bern   (03.18.12)
Dear human brothers and sisters. I yet do not understand, why people who as an entire folk is traumatized by the past does not have more empathy for others . Why do to others that you would not accept or want to be done on you? My lifepartner is a israeli war veteran, highly decorated. But he himself wrote to me, that I would not be accepted in Israel - first by his grown up childeren who have never ever met or seen me. What have I done to them. My eldest son was this January in Israel - he liked the country very much and said the food he ate was out of this world - but he felt all the time hostility and felt very uncomfortable. Why not stop this? I am far from being a left wing pussy but one cannot dump every body in the same pot. I do not care about skin color but I do care about how people behave and integrate. We have here a living poplulation of 25 % foreigners. And we naturalize many thousands every year. To me are friends who is kind and friendly and respects the law, no matter of origin, colour, religion and nationality. Choose always the middle path. All extremism leads to war in the end. I believe we should be happy. Therefore we have to reflect much more how we ourself can improve before throwing stones at others. Illusion, attachment, greed and hatered are the poisonous roots of unhappyness. SHALOM

You warn others about the dangers of generalization. Then please try to show the same understanding and distinction and be aware of the fact that Israelis aren't one piece of a cloth, either. I have a hard time believing that your son had bad and as you say uncomf. experience in Israel as a tourist. But if he really had such bad exp. we are all very sorry. Just know that most tourists enjoy Israel very much according to their telltale and what happened to your son is very unfortunate and sad. It would indeed be best if you do not listen to your Israeli lifepartner in this matter and with him or even without him you make a determined choice and do visit Israel once to see for youself. We all hope that you will have afterwards only good things to talk about your staying here...

I don't care what Switzerland may or may not be doing now in terms of diversification, but I know that desperate Jews trying to escape Germany in the 1930s were turned away. Their bank accounts were stolen. Swiss insurance companies to this day refuse to pay out on the whole life insurance policies purchased by those same desperate Jews throughout Europe. Switzerland accepted without a murmur Jewish gold wedding bands, Jewish gold teeth and Jewish gold jewelry, and melted them down into bars for the Nazis. Fix your poisonous selves before you worry about Israel and Israeli hospitality. That's a pretty big task, so you really ought to get busy. By the way -- thank you for mentioning that it is important to you that friends "accept the law." The Sudanese are the worst criminal element in Israel today. And you are being a bit dishonest -- yes, I am sure that 25% of Switzerland's population are foreigners. I am also VERY sure that 24% of them are high-level expatriate businessmen and women, United Nations personnel and students attending those very pricy Swiss private schools. I don't think you have to deal with Sudanese thieves, alcoholics and drug addicts.

I don't think that you understood my post.I did mean to say that the so called refugees get permanent stay in the country if they beget children in that country.I said that they have been told by their "friends" and illegal boat entrants that if they have children as soon as possible it will be very ,very hard to deport them from their detention centers. That is the case in Aust. and it is a big problem for the govnt. as they are not able to solve. It is a very big issue right now and is a problem for the next Liberal govnt. Of course children of illegal aliens in the US do not automatically get American citizenship.I hope that I clarified my post a bit better.Shalom.

Dear Israeli. Thanks for your comments. 37 made me happy, 38 very sad. I have been to Israel in 1973 as a small girl. 3 unforgettable weeks as only child in a group of elderly people. It was great. I would love to come again, but as part time working mother with 3 kids i dont have the money for all of us to fly and stay in a hotel. So only the eldest son could come and was shown around for.2 days by my israely boyfriend. What hurted was that he could not know my lovers kids and grandchilderen. its not the fault of my boyfriend. He felt uncomfortable with chutzpe... I am sorry for all happen with WW 2. Average people have nothing to do with banks or insurance mistakes. and we do have huge problems with criminals and non integrated foreigners... There arre school classes where there are no more Swiss. But not all bad and notall swiss good. I have known many countries and cultures and religions. I try to be fair and friendly although i have been hurt and cheated. Please, let us try to have less prejudices and more compassion. I wish to make some friends in Israel. Bless you and SHALOM
41. You're wrong
Rebekah ,   Sweden from USA   (04.09.14)
ANY child born on U.S. soil automatically becomes a U.S. citizen. Why do you think they call them 'anchor babies'? Everybody says 'oh its too mean to send them home, the baby is a citizen' - NOW the U.S. is royally messed up. But just because the U.S. has one of the stupidest anchor baby laws on earth, does not make it a world or country requirement. Nor does it make it 'right' or anything else for that matter. #7 should check the immigration laws in Saudi if he wants to complain.
42. You better think again
Rebekah ,   SVERIGE   (04.09.14)
Israel is the land made for the jews. Saying something STUPID like 'let's wait for the situation to stabilize in.....SUDAN, ERITREA --- any muslim country' is really means 'never'. Because the situation will NEVER stabilize, it will only get worse. Eritrean immigrants have been murdering young women in Sweden since the 80's. If that's the kind of life you want for your kids - take it somewhere else. Don't force the rest of us to suffer from your stupid decisions.
43. right back at ya
Rebekah ,   Sverige   (04.09.14)
You think being born in any country on earth automatically makes you a citizen? Think again, nothing could be further from the truth. Speaking of which, and talking about equality, being a jew in Africa it sucks... check what happened in Libya when ethnic indigenous Libyan jews sought to return 'home' after Libya was 'freed'. The world is not beholden to you or me. People of the world are not beholden to all other people. It's easy for you to act so righteous, what have you ever done to help someone of a different race, religion or country? Nothing.
44. You're a hypocrite
Rebekah ,   Sweden from USA   (04.09.14)
anyone who would 'take consider pleasure' to inform someone that that the largest single group of women seeking abortions are white & college educated' and 'white college students' has got to be one of the most hate filled disgusting individuals on the planet. That is a horrible thing to take pleasure in, and you are a racist. And by the way, I thought you were simply misinformed in your earlier comment, but I now see that you were intentionally misleading. ALL children born on U.S. soil ARE AUTOMATICALLY citizens. Anyone who says otherwise is misinformed or a liar. Your statement designating #8 as an evangelical christian and ordering them to change their name from the Hebrew user name, is also an appalling religiously bigoted commentary about yourself.
45. ha ha that made me laugh
Rebekah ,   Sweden by way of USA   (04.09.14)
seriously though, who calls Americans YANKS except for Brits? Come on man, you can't generalize 355 MILLION people living in the USA by the ignorant liberal masses! I live in Sweden now and the people here are just as stupid as the ones back home. They think they know something because their spoon fed propaganda includes a larger variety of countries. But I'm telling you, the same bleeding heart idiots and lunatics who know absolutely nothing about Israel live here - and they are more rabid than most I've seen. You have to understand that people like Split, who is clearly 'Afro' as he puts it, has been reading masses of anti Israeli, pro Afro literature that twists the truth and only reflects what THEY want ! You're right about one thing. Israel needs to care for it's own and the rest of the world needs to mind it's business.
