1. IRAN BANKING SANCTIONS
H ROSEN ,   PA USA   (03.18.12)
One more reason for Israel not to atack Iran on it's own. The retired head of the Mossad is also in agreement ...Iran could engineer the deaths of thousands of Jews and Israelis around the world. And there is no guarantee that an Israeli air strike would totally succeed. Iran is nearing the same position that Japan was prior to Pearl Harbor. Stiff sanctions made the Japanese desperate enough to make war on America. The same may happen with Iran ....They could be desperate enough to attack U S and Israeli interests in the hopes of a negotianted settlement and to mobilize their people into a patriotic fervor....Some sort of eventual war with Iran is inevitable without a preemptive air strike
2. f a bank in Sviterland makes transfers to Germany nobody

would mind, but in fact the account in Geneve might belong to mullahs, paying for German import. Iran has had decades to prepare, the significance of the SWIFT is overrated in this case

5. More sanctions on Iran
Steve ,   Belgium   (03.18.12)
are two sided... The more sanctions the international community imposes on Iran the less influnence they keep in pursuing Iran to the negotiating table. What if all punitive measures have been exhausted, in what position will the international community finds itself to exert pression? Another detail, Iran has lived for over 30 years under sanctions and to my opinion they've only grown stronger...Why would this time be so different? As the inventors of chess they will make also a move, that's for sure.
6. DEPENDING ON SANCTIONS IS INSANITY.
BUTSeriously ,   Australia   (03.18.12)
Israel ad the world is facing a mad dog rushing at you with the limbs of loved ones in its jaws. Sanctions is for Obama and the EU, not for Israel. The regimes have hoarded billions and can outlast sanctions for another 20 years. The world's best Intel is looking very confused the past few years.
7. #1. Agree with your analysis up to a point..

The Iran economy is almost at melt down REAL Inflation is estimated at around 40%. Net reserves are estimated to be just $5bn and falling fast. And more seriously strategic grain, petrol reserves and vital spare parts down to just a weeks supply. Yet Ahmadinejad has RULED that the one thing that continues with funding WHATEVER THE COST is nuclear enrichment, missile development and spending on the military which according to estimates yesterday is now 65% of GDP and rising And crucially once China India and Japan dramatically reduce their dollar and gold denominated oil imports from Iran as promised...we hope that finally some sense will prevail inside Iran and we can look toward returning from the brink and a peaceful reconciliataion and normalisation of relations The irony is that it appears that the more extreme and bellicose the rhetoric about the US and Israel the more it appears that the regime is getting more desperate and closer to collapse FOR US TO AVOID WAR and the global economy set back decades the sanctions have to be watertight and complete with Iran totally isolated and at the pint of economic collapse True it might force Iran to try to close the Hormuz attack Bahrein Israel and Saudi Arabia as way to ease the stranglehold - but this would simply accelerate its end
8. Here we go AGAIN
Sammy ,   Newcastle   (03.18.12)
The sheer utter arrogance of Ahmadinejad and Nasrallah who justify their behaviour internationally because they say they are the champions of Palestinian rights? Those monkeys are cynically hijacking my cause to promote their ideological hatred of Jews and Israel - PERIOD. Bear in mind .we have to learn to live side by side with Israel sooner or later...not Ahmadinejad, Nasrallah or anyone else. And bear in mind that it is only throough peaceful coexistsnce and relations at all levels with all our neighbours that we shall suceed in building a great Palestine And WHO SAYS Ahmadinejad and Nasrallah have ANY right to dictate what our terms or demands are in relation to talks with Israel? We have more than enough intelligence and grit to succeed ourselves These vile people are simply using Palestinian blood in Gaza to further their own ends But the last laugh? Apart from the traitor Zahar most of Hamas now are beginning to realise that Ahmadinejads interference in our affairs is totally counter productive . They simply are trying to use Gaza as one big base for Irans hegemony and they have to be booted out once and for all to end this horrific nightmare
