I am horrified at the comparison Ashton has made. The children in Norway were not shot because of their faith. Children in Gaza die because their authorities allow rockets to be fired from next to hospitals and schools and the Israeli's, not surprisingly, have to retaliate to try to put them out of action. These children in France died because they were Jewish in an apparently neo Nazi attack. It is very sad that this can happen in Europe in 2012, even sadder, and actually rather worrying, that a top European Diplomat is so obviously anti Semitic. She should have spoken to Jewish youths and given her whole hearted commiseration and support to them.

She has a point about comparing the murders of the Jewish children in France with the murder of Syrian children,but not the Gaza children. The children who died in Gaza were not murdered by the Israeli army. They were tragic,unfortunate victims of a war,which was forced on Israel by terrorists who run the society and who use these children's homes and even their bodies as human shields while firing missles into Israel,which they hope will kill Israeli children.

If Ashton cannot see the differences between children gunned down in cold blood at children accidentally killed in cross fire of war, she should resign. There is no moral equivalence between a terrorist attack that guns down children on their way to school and casualties of was as collateral damage.
