And you forget that in WW2 Sweden took in any Jew able to reach her shores, unlike Switzerland that turned them away. Natan Alterman wrote a poem about it.

94. True, swedes are just unaware
Nir ,   Israel   (03.21.12)
I remember traveling in Sweden a few years ago. There really was the notion that the media is biased, but many of the swedes I have talked to were interested to hear about the other side. They're mostly open-minded, just as was said, brain-washed. There's an interest for the media to be pro-arab in general - muslims are the biggest minority in Sweden.

You have made some of the most disgusting and rabid antisemitic comments I have ever seen on this site, especially concerning the Fogel murders! Why should anyone believe you? Are you making a joke?
96. May you be forever blessed.

Dina ,   Jerusalem   (03.21.12)
... I can only agree that the general Swede is not really antisemitic/anti-israeli but, unfortunately, just very very ignorant. A lot of them are actually very happy to learn more and find out the truth. That's were you Kim and others like you do a great job. Keep up the good work!
98. We love you Kim! How can I help you?

First of all, i'd like to join all the folks thanking you for such refreshing approach on your behalf. In general, only God is entitled to pronounce things as being "the only true". Since i'm not a believer, i'm very much aware of the fact that "true" always varies on behalf of presenting side. I don't think Swedish people are antisemitic or just hating us so bad. They're being fed by one side and not getting enough info from the other. But... if it remain like that for longer period of time, such of feeding will get Swedish people just there. It's is highly critical for Israel state and for Jewish community around the world to find the way to communicate the way things are looking from our side. Just in order to provide sort of alternative for the mass media that clearly don't like us too much. Kim, from heart, from my soul, thanks for trying to fix this situation !
101. I wanted to thank you for your brave standing.

That my comments have in any way been disgusting and rabidly antisemitic is only your opinion not a fact, and i frankly don't care what religious zealot like yourself think of me. Not being a supporter of crazy religious settlers who take their children out of Israel and right into a burning warzone isn't at all the same as hating israel or jews.
104. Kibbutz Volunteers
David ,   Efrat   (03.21.12)
There was a time perhaps 20-30 years ago when young Swedes (and Danes and Norwegiens) were coming to Israel in droves to volunteer on Kibbutim. Having met many back then, I know they had a wonderful time. So I wonder two things: 1. Why aren't those Swedes who had such positive, first hand experiences here speaking up now that they are middle aged and representative of the 'main stream'. 2. Why aren't young Swedes today coming to visit and volunteer?

I dare you to visit the West Bank, East Jerusalem and/or Gaza, and speak to Palestinians as well. See what they have to say.

Thanks Kim...I know that there are other Europeans that share your view...Though you may well be the minority, every good wish counts. As for "Obsequious", #106...many people would like to visit Gaza and The West Bank, but we are afraid of being, kidnapped, tortured, and beheaded.

116. Thanks

Thanks Kim! It is clear that the media has not done justice. Unfortunately, it is not only Sweden that is in the dark. Far to many countries no nothing of the reality except what is portrayed in the media. I thank you for trying to show both sides of the story as there will always be two sides to every story. Sweden is a beautiful country and I hope the people there will be more open to the truth of the situation based on your articles. One person can make a difference!
117. Thank You Mr. Milrell

118. People like this bring HOPE....
tiki ,   belgium   (03.21.12)
HOPE, of people learning to live together, instead of killing each other. HOPE of being friends, instead of enemies. HOPE of love instead of hate. HOPE that, inspite all the bad, something good wil come out in the end. HOPE, that all our differences will not bring destruction but make us understand that diversity can/must be used as a positiv. Thank you Kim Milrell for not losing hope and sharing it with all of us.
119. Great article
Peter, Sweden   (03.21.12)
Great article. Sad to say, everything is true.
120. Swedes negative attitude
John ,   Sweden   (03.21.12)
Being a Swede myself I can confirm that there is an negative attitude torwards Israel that often can be noticed. But there are also fine excetion like the former socdem primeminister that did not hide his sympathies for Israel. Swedes in general has a good education and are not unintelligent. Explanation will perhaps lie in the journalistic and opinionforming elite. Yes there are traits of always codemning the countries declared for bad. Swedes has perhaps a to big trust in authorities and there are also a danger of not being politically correct. Regardless of any conflict I myself have a big sympathy for Israel and the jewish people.
