61. Yeah! Refuse to cooperate!
Israeli 2   (03.23.12)
Where is Lieberman? Give them a "Beita ba_ _ _ _ _ " and send them home.
62. UN & Great Powers should impose a solution.
Michael ,   California, USA   (03.23.12)
1. Permanent peace, secure and equitable will be established. 2. Supervision with Peace Forces from other nations for the next 30-50 years will be put in place. Palestinins and Israelis will share the cost. 3. Fostering of new leadership on both sides comprising of people born after the permanent peace agreement. 4. Western style democracy and separation of religion from State on both sides. 5. Impose economic and cultural connections, unite post-graduate educational systems, and support tourism. I know it will be difficult to impose, but nothing else has worked for resolving this most protracted conflict in the last 100 years.
63. # 47 the PLO acceptred Israe'ls
ben   (03.23.12)
right to exist back in the 90s Remember Arafat Rabin Nobel peace prize.. It is against the forth Geneva convention to move civillians into ocuppied territory. Henry the 8th moved Protistans into Northern Ireland , Howd that work out
64.  to no 40
Jennie ,   Israel/US   (03.23.12)
Having recognized a people, does not mean, that Israel has to suffer terror attacks, acts of war or threats of innihilation from the people they have recognized... Israel always was and is aware of the nature, aim and goal of the so-called palestinian people...As a matter of fact, Israel created the first refugee camp in Gaza over 40 years ago, which eventually grew to the so-called "palestinian people"... Golda Meir was not the only Statesperson to deny the existence of the so-called Palestinian people...Every conservative leader of Israel, throughout history was debating the issue...But whatever Israel would do, it would never be all right or justified by many in the world's community ... What is more important, is that even the palestinians are not ready or able to define or rule themselves...To your question of "Why"? Israel is the only tiny, single "hard nutt" of democracy in the ocean of Arab countries..We can't even try to understand Israel's politics...All we need to do is trust, be helpful and Stand Up for Israel !
65. people in the Israeli foreign ministry are sleeping on their
Mark C   (03.23.12)
When Netanyahu comes to the UN he should make a point to call each country that voted for this “thing” and detail their human rights violations one by one, no body else will do it. it should be a yearly event in the UN, and this will highlight to the world the deceitfulness of the UN. Some time I can’t escape the notion that the people in the Israeli foreign ministry are sleeping on their job.
66. The possible sypathy& eye opening moment of Toulouse created
tom ,   tel aviv   (03.23.12)
was obviously too much for comfort for the United Antisemites of this Planet. Got to bring the "conflict" back on track, eh....mamzerim?!
67. Agree with nr. 7
Victor ,   Klaksvig. Faroe Isl.   (03.23.12)
I completely agree with nr. 7. Do not allow this stupid UN snoopers access into Israel. I am a christian and a supporter of Israel. G-d bless Israel, and i know from the word of the Almighty, that Israel will prosper. Stand firm Bibi and trust in G-d. Blessing from Faroe Islands. Shalom.
68. #41 But no ISRAELI GOVERNMENT has...
Gunnar ,   Gothenburg, Sweden   (03.23.12)
...said that in decades. What does "Israel's position" mean? That's very abstract and unclear. Like it or not, it's not what the political leadership says that matters.
69. is France serious about making anti-terror law
observer ,   Egypt   (03.23.12)
an announcement appeared on a French website, calling for "militants with military experience" to participate in a solidarity trip to Israel between September 19 and 25, 2011. "The aim of this expedition is to lend a hand to our brothers facing aggression from the Palestinian occupiers, and to enhance the security of Jewish towns in Judea and Samaria," it explained. The French branch of the Jewish Defense League - an organization banned in Israel and America as a terrorist group - is recruiting people for the mission of helping the settlers stealing Palestinian land.
70. UN Probe into settlements
Avril ,   Israel   (03.23.12)
Israel made a mistake by not cooperating with Richard Goldstone and Israel suffered from his one sided findings. Even his retraction did not help - the report was deep in the world's mind. Israel should co-operate this time - speak out freely, allow inspections and let the world know that we have our side and it has to be heard loud and clearly.
71. Ignore them; they're a bad joke
Ypip ,   Canada   (03.23.12)
72. #1 the irony here
observer ,   Egypt   (03.23.12)
no single Israeli government dared annexing a single West Bank "legal" settlement or "Illegal hill-top" settlement like that of Itamar. Why? because it's against the International law. No single world country recognizes the West Bank as not occupied. But the irony is that the Israeli cabinet approved the construction of 500 additional housing units in West Bank settlements in response to the killing of the Fogel family.
73. why have Spain and Italy abstained
observer ,   Egypt   (03.23.12)
because they do not recognize East Jerusalem as not occupied.
74. #70 Avril I disagree
Bad Assed Jew ,   United States   (03.23.12)
keep the unclean ones out of Israel. G-d alone is Israel's boss. As far as I'm concerned the UN agency has become repulsive and the UN should be closed in America and reopened in Arabia. ( let the cheap bastards pay for their anti semitic fun)
75. Thank you Victor, France
Bad Assed Jew ,   United States   (03.23.12)
Christians in many cases have become better friends to Israel than some Jews or, politicians. May the G-d of Israel bless and keep you.
76. Secular
Simon ,   London, UK   (03.23.12)
The world is turning more secular. The UN is concerned with Human Rights. Not the ramblings in an old book that says one people are better than another and are chosen. Religion is dying, science is disproving all your miracles. Continually calling anyone who opposes you 'Nazis' just cheapens you. Gaza is a ghetto - created by opne people to oppress another. Its all so familiar....
77. #29 Gunnar has a fair point
David ,   Shiloh Israel   (03.23.12)
Gunnar, I'm a typical right wing Jewish settler. First and foremost, I'm very clear about our own rights to the land, both from a Biblical & historical/legal perspective. Secondly, contrary to world opinion based on gross misinformation, the vast majority of settlers don't go around intimidating local Arabs, most of whom do extremely well in our region, thanks to the infrastructure they get from us and the millions of dollars they successfully con from the nations. Putting all that on one side, many of our leaders probably feel intimidated by the great machine of lies & propoganda put out by the quartet of 4, fueled by our enemies. These same leaders often feel split between paying lip service and abiding by their conscience. When they pay lip service by declaring their agreement with Palestinian aspirations, it's easy for the world, yourself included, to point an accusing finger against us settlers. Truth be known, we could probably work out a peace arrangement that actually works well on the ground to every 'local' person's advantage, far more reliably than anyone else who is only interested in distorting facts & thus will never succeed in making something durable. So Gunnar, let's hope that we get better Israeli leadership with more backbone, hopefully from Bibi, but we'll wait and see!
78. Syria, Tibet....
(03.23.12)
and all they can come up with is a probe into the Israeli settlements?
79. Israel won't cooperate with UN probe of settlements
observer ,   Egypt   (03.23.12)
Charles O. Blaha said to the Council: "The US position on settlements is clear and has not changed: We do not accept the legitimacy of continued Israeli settlement activity. The status quo is not sustainable for either the Israelis or the Palestinians, But Washington could not back a "one-sided resolution that launches an international investigation of Israel,". would Israel have announced that it would cooperate with the probe if the US stand was different?
80. thank you egypt 69
avi kraft ,   israel   (03.23.12)
for the information . I will try and publicise so more people jews and their gentile supporters can join in. Hopefully this will help to stop the invented fakestinian people from stealing land that belongs to the Jews
81. Archeological evidence
Sarah B. ,   US/Israel   (03.23.12)
"...While I won't dive into overwhelming amounts of archaeological evidence, proving existence of Israel as Jewish country thousands of years ago..." Of course you won't dive into, coz it doesn't exist.
82. UN orders first probe of Israeli settlements
joe ,   uk   (03.23.12)
why dont UN probe Palestinian rights if they should be there always one sided against Israel
83. ... very difficult to explain ...
Zeev, Haifa   (03.23.12)
Dr. Alon Liel, former director general of the Foreign Ministry opines that: "... "The issue of the settlements is very difficult to explain, PR-wise..." My comment: Boker tov, Eliyahu!
84. Someone please explain
Golani ,   Vineland, USA/Israel   (03.23.12)
So the Syrian Government has killed nearly 10,000 civilians this year, several every day. Israel sends tons of food, and fuel to Gaza, every day, and finally the UN is sending a team to investigate Israel??? What is wrong with this picture???
85. #62, Michael
Robin ,   Merion, USA   (03.23.12)
Either you are writing about another area in the world or you need to go back to sleep. You know nothing about the people involved and should not post sentences straight out of books without understanding what you are saying.
86. to 69
Jennie ,   Israel/US   (03.23.12)
I really hope, France is serious about anti terror law in France... I am also in support of the initiative for a solidarity mission to Israel, that some French groups considering to make in whatever capacity...Why are you panicking, observer ? Israelis do not need military help to fight terrorists..And if they dare to attack our soveregn land or our People, they'll be innihilated by us, not French...Another thing..Who is stealing land from who ? I know how scarred you are..But you don't need to lie..Your post is the most stupid thing ever printed on this forum...It is an obvious proof of your panic...
87. UN says stop building
David ,   USA   (03.23.12)
Keep on building Israel. Keep on building on your land. As a child I didn't understand the UN, as an adult I understand the lawlessness of it. It isn't fit to sit in. I say, keep on building! The volunteer state.
88. GET OUT OF UN !
ECLIPSE2 ,   AUSTRALIA   (03.23.12)
i have told you before get out of the UN IT IS EVIL AND GOT NO GUTS AND FULL OF ISLAMEST the media and the UN never said boo When the satanic mufti of saudi arabia wants to destroy all the churches in the middle east is it because of the oil ? israel dont expect any favors from the UN
89. #86 I'm panic because
observer ,   Egypt   (03.23.12)
If Sarkozy is serious about punishments to those who travel to radical Islamic (or whatever are called) camps, even if they commit no crimes on French soil, then solidarity mission to Israel from French groups especially the like of Terrorist Jewish Defense League will be banned.
90. Jewish building on PA lands
Frances Greenfield ,   Gananoque, Canada   (03.23.12)
Hogwash - do you really think that the world is blind to what is going on via building on PA lands.
