1. You are so myopically wrong it's a danger to Jews & Israel
Paqid Yirmeyahu ,   Ra'anana, Israel   (03.25.12)
Despite your myopic and self-absorbed whining, it is NOT "A pure, burning kind of hatred for Jews"!!! They hate Christians MORE--the "Great Satan" vs us the "Little Satan." Furthermore, your misrepresentation obscures the only solution, misleading the herd to whine and wring their hands interminably about "antisemitism" instead of dealing with the real problem--which is a Displacement Theology that understands it can only validate itself by eliminating what it regards as advocates of predecessor "G-d-forsaken false theologies" (viz., Christianity and Torah). Beyond that, and it's repeatedly reconfirmed, suicide jihadists--that's a religious term, hello!--are motivated by promise of (religious!) paradise and 72 virginsl The ONLY solution is religious: why Torah is true and Displacement Religions (both) are impossibly self-contradicting and prohibited by Torah--i.e., paradise and virgins for suicide jihadists are false myths; motivation for Muslim "community fools" to do the bidding of their religious manipulators. The ONLY way to solve the problem is to explode their false hopes of paradise and 72 virgins. That's a religious disputation emanating from Torah--and rare is the Jew who is well-armed.
2. Jew hatred
yosef yankelev, Phd ,   Coral Springs, USA   (03.25.12)
This is one of the most insightful, dignified articles in Ynet's spotty reporting. What an awesome surprise. Todah rabah, writers and editors.
3. You have discovered Colombus'egg !
Istvan ,   BUDAPEST HUNGARY   (03.25.12)
Yes and behind it there is the permanent, abhorent, endless antisemitic propaganda. It also existed before the internet age but was much less dangerous as reached minimal number of peoples. I repeat again it is the duty of the government of Israel to protect the jews from it, with every possible means. Including creating an office to destroy and hack such websites.
4. the motive islam

5. Goyim hate Jews like Secular hate Haredim - ALL JEALOUSY
(03.25.12)
6. agree with no.1
avi kraft ,   israel   (03.25.12)
any person who belives in the bible should read the entire chapter 44 in Isaih. It is all about the clash between idol worsship pasganism and replacing the Jewish people as G-DS true messengers. verses the pure monetherism of Judaism. The truth behind all those who hate jews is this. they hate the message that G-D sent them. They hate the ONE who sent the messenger so they want to destroy the messenger
7. secular do NOT hate chareidim and chareidim do NOT hate
avrom ,   bet shemesh   (03.25.12)
secular although there are deviants in both groups who dislike the other group
8. All BS justification for Jews to hate all non Jews....
Edithann ,   USA   (03.25.12)
Torah/Talmud has always been a declaration of war on all non-Jews.. and Jews have turned their own hatred of the non Jew into 'they hate us' which justifies their own... It's not rocket science...It's all there in the Torah/Talmud and it doesn't need endless reinterpretations.. TATA
9. Easier Easy Targets
Joe   (03.25.12)
It's called blaming all Jews for the actions that you think some Jews have done through zionism or judaism against you or your people or your beliefs and taking it out on an easy target like a child, senior, cemetery or synagogue locally for something far away. All Jews are blamed as a group. Call it prejudice and it's easier for some to go after the weaker ones than the stronger ones. It has more to do with enemy cowardice and opportunism.
10.  the messiah kingdom
cristian ,   argentina   (03.25.12)
the land of israel is the cradle of the jewish people, here their spiritual identity was forged, here he managed for the first time its sovereigty, creating cultural values of universal meaning and bequeathed to the world the eternal book of books and the commandments of the torah after having been exiled by the strength of their land, the people kept you fidelity during their dispersion and never ceased to pray and wait for their return to it for the restoration of its freedom, driven by historical link, the jews attempted in each generation to restore in their ancestral homeland to return in masses with the messiah kingdom, amen
11. modern day religious based Jew hatred
(03.25.12)
the notion of modern day Jew hatred stemming from Christian doctrine is a myth. There is no such hatred. Christians today might find some Jewish organizations and individuals irritating, aggressive and ruthless and holding disproportionate influence in the USA but there is no generalized hatred of ordinary Jews on account of xtian religion. This notion that Christians are upset at the Jew next door because ''he'' killed Jesus is about as bloody silly idea anyone could come up with. If anyone DID say that to a Jew the bully is obviously using it as a taunt ...a way to annoy someone he already dislikes. Such people tend to dislike all minorities.
12. Islam = Terror and death
Beary White ,   Norway   (03.25.12)
The main problem is ISLAM. Islam is filled with hate to ANYONE, EVERYWHERE. It must be an evil religion when you kill a non-musim and shouth allah at the same time!!! to the "god" you actually should love!! Islam should be banned, at least the followers should get their eyes open and convert to other peaceful religions.
13. Jew Hatred
Arnold Handelman ,   Toronto, Canada   (03.26.12)
It exists and has existed for thousands of years. It is most clearly evident among people who have never met a Jew, in areas where there are no Jews. In other words, no reason or excuse exists for such pure hatred. We can actually ask: who doesn't hate Jews. The only peoples I can think of are East Asians like S.Koreans and Chinese; and fundamentalist Christians. Otherwise, it's an unanswerable question: who hates Jews more: Germans, French, Russians, Arabs, English, Poles, ? Let's not fail to recognise reality. But let's not fail to try to work on individual exceptions to the rule: scratch a gentile, and you'll expose an anti-semite.
14. Now you are just being silly
eliza ,   Australia   (03.26.12)
I hate to tell you but most people are simply indifferent to whether or not someone is Jewish or not. Tribalism in religion is no longer important in Western states such as France. This may be difficult for Israelis to accept given that Israel is built on a notion of religious tribalism. But I take your point that continued settlements in West Bank and the recklessness of the IDF in regard to non-Jewish life in Israel can go towards understanding why non-Jews may react with anger and sometimes violence. Most will just have increasing contempt for the Zionism. You can call this Jew-hatred it you like but to me its hatred of injustice - the injustice that Israel has meted out relentlessly to Palestinian people. Some may lash out with violence - and yes, the innocent are hurt. This cannot be justified but you are very mistaken if you believe that this is a result of some sort of perpetual or neverending dislike of Jews. Dislike of Israel I grant you.
15. What was motive in killing 4 French Moslem soldiers?
Israel ,   Israel   (03.26.12)
was that Jewish hatred too? I strongly urge you to review ALL of the events related to this murderer's actions... Sir, a news flash: he didn't 'just' kill four Jews! He also killed and injured French Moslem soldiers! Your op-ed ignores that. In ignoring that part of the narrative your myopia comes into full focus.
16. #14
Steve RSA ,   JHB South Africa   (03.26.12)
Antisemitism masked as anti-zionism! Do me a favour!
17. #15 motive
israel israeli ,   tel aviv   (03.26.12)
The motive was because of the Western occupation of Afghanistan and ongoing massacre of innocents. Read about Robert Bales (9 small children shot, their bodies burned) or how 2/3 of UK drone attacks kill only civilians.
18. @17 yes u & I know what motive was...
Israel #15 ,   Israel   (03.26.12)
it is Mr. Daum who missed that point! I think he missed that point because it doesn't fit in with his myopic point of view.
19. #15 Which four?
Igor ,   Germany   (03.26.12)
You are 100% wrong: Only two of the killed soldiers were Muslims. But that's not the point: Merah could not have known it. He shot them for being soldiers (maybe he knew they fought in Afghanistan), not for being Muslim.
20. #17, 18: Why not Christian children?
Igor ,   Germany   (03.26.12)
Assuming "the Western occupation of Afghanistan" was the motive: Why didn't Merah enter a random French school and shot random (i.e. mostly Christian and Muslim) children? Obviously, he hated Jews more. For whatever reason.
21. Now count the # of Muslims killed by Muslims
Paqid Yirmeyahu ,   Ra'anana, Israel   (03.26.12)
Reason: ALWAYS religion, NOT "pure hatred of Jews." Muslims kill thousands more Muslims than Jews.
22. @#19 no 1 is ever 100% right or wrong...
(03.26.12)
What is the point is that this murderer killed people because he (the murderer) felt that he was 100% right.
23. Whatever the neighsayers think . . . .
Neshama ,   SF CA   (03.26.12)
You still cannot escape the fact that he chose mostly JEWISH CHILDREN at a JEWISH SCHOOL! He also brutally executed these people, especially little 8 yr. old Miryam. He shot her point blank, after catching her by her ponytail, then when she was down, he picked up her face by the chin, and pumped 2 more bullets in her to confirm his kill! All why filming it with a camera taped to his neck. How callous, and gruesome! If that is not pure Jew hatred I don't know what is! What could a little girl have done that would make him murder except for EXIST!
24. To #8 Edithann
Prof B ,   NYC USA   (03.28.12)
To say that the "Torah/ Talmud" (your words) teach Jews to hate everyone not Jewish is just plain wrong as wrong can be. Both actually teach us to get along with others. It is obvious that you have never read either for 2 reasons. The first and most obvious is that, by your punctuation in which you wrote "Torah/Talmud", you seem to think that both words refer to the same group of writings. They do not and are completely different. First and most importantly, because the Torah was given to the Jews by G-d and the Talmud was written by rabbis as commentary on the Tanach. Secondly, if you had read either, you would know that both teach us to try to get along with others, whether Jewish or not. Unfortunately, your ignorance threatens to spread untrue, dangerous and hateful misinformation. Your ignorance also represents G-d as a hate-monger -- completely opposite from His nature. Is this how you would like to be known -- to the world and to G-d himself -- as an ignorant hate-monger???
