I am 100% in favor of law enforcement, anywhere in the world. However, the law has to be applied with due respect to the law. In too many instances, our HIgh Court appears to demonstrate a seeming disregard for a balanced approach to legal matters, free of political considerations. Statements aimed at one segment of our population, in this case about settlers, not being above the law, seems to be a contradiction in terms of the available circumstances. This is not about a few misguided 'hilltop youth' being warned against illegal actions. This is more about a defence presenting strong evidence that in the majority of law abiding countries would be hard to deny. This current High Court hierarchy seem more concerned with maintaining a politically oriented attack against settlers, and grossly misusing the law in the process. Israel needs a strong judiciary system, but an honest one that gains the trust of our citizens.
