1. Wholeheartedly-agree
tonny ,   Jakarta, Indonesia   (03.26.12)
It's absolutely true. Never trust the moslem Arabs whose only purpose in life seem to be the annhilation of the Jews. Assert your sovereignty over the whole promised land and protect it vigorously without any second thoughts. May God bless those with good will.
2. the only path
michaelpielet ,   israel   (03.26.12)
This is a well reasoned article that states the obvious reality. Every Prime Minister every government since Rabin has made this mistake which paves the way for the ultimate destruction of israel. G-d help us.
3. You do what works+adapt to changing situation
Sam ,   Canada   (03.26.12)
The Palestinians want Israel gone more than they want some autonomy. One way or another they will attack diplomatically or through terror and war. Whether being more tough or lenient with the Palestinians is better for Israel is for Israel to see. In any case the situation will change and Israel will have to adapt to new diplomatic and physical attacks.
4. Translation: Take the land, get rid of the natives
Steven Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (03.26.12)
Dividing Palestine was a mistake, a crime, and dividing Palestine again will be another mistake. But getting rid of the native population will be impossible, the Palestinians are not leaving, they are tough, and committed to stay on their land.
5. Advocating one state?
Nina ,   NYC   (03.26.12)
Great idea. Would benefit everyone.
6. IF the current government still insists on
Israeli 2   (03.26.12)
ANY negotiation or compromise with these demanding Arabs, then in all honesty should a final settlement be reached, the right of return should DEFINITELY be part and parcel of their independent country. Transfer is the best solution!
7. Nice start
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (03.26.12)
But not enough - we also need to remove the foreign colonists from our lands. It doesn't matter if they are Jordanian or Egyptian - they need to go.
8. Bringing Arafat back was idiotic
Rachel ,   US   (03.26.12)
HUGE HUGE Mistake!!
9. New thinking
E ,   Los Angeles   (03.26.12)
I like it. Hopefully the Israeli public can elect leadership that can figure it put.
10. Good Article
Son Of Cyrus   (03.26.12)
It is absolutely spot on. Oslo should never have happened. There has been nothing but misery ever since.
11. Delusion, sprinkled with evil
Nour ,   One State   (03.26.12)
Love your neighbor, genius. Stop stealing land, stop trying to erase our history and presence, stop besieging us, stop encircling our homes and lands with concrete fences, stop stealing our water, and stop arresting our children at 4:00 in the morning. How's that for a recipe for peace?
12. #4: They will have no choice. They will leave.
Israeli 2   (03.26.12)
Kahanism is on the rise even if its leader is not with us. Transfer will take place sooner or later as the only solution...(may it be by any other name.)
13. A revolutionary (NEW) Idea: Israel is OK.Jews ARE all right!
tom ,   tel aviv   (03.26.12)
14. Oslo is dead and so is the "peace process".
Noodles ,   Coney Island   (03.26.12)
The status quo will have to suffice until the political climate exists for turning back the clocks to a pre-Oslo time setting.
15. #11
Linichka ,   Gdynia, Poland   (03.26.12)
Stop your endless demands and terrorism, and you might just have a deal. But you lot never manage to honor promises.
16. #4 what natives?
israel israeli ,   tel aviv   (03.26.12)
With no connection to what should or should be done, and how peace should be achieved, you should stop this "natives" thing. The Arabs themselves admit that they are not natives. The Arabs themselves admit that they are immigrants who came during the British occupation.
17. #11
eli ,   Yerushalayim   (03.26.12)
... love your neighbor until he will come and kill you with a big, big pleasure. Is it this what you mean?
18. EXACTLY! B'DIYUK!
Adina Kutnicki,Israe   (03.26.12)
The author's assumptions are not only historically correct, but presently valid. They are so obvious (in their meaning) that even a high schooler-with a modicum of grounding in Middle East politics and common sense- should understand its efficacy and urgency. The fact that our leaders haven't jumped on board..... By the way, there are MANY clear thinking, rational Zionists who understand what must be done. TIME is of the essence....
19. Nour 11
AL QUDS ALYAHUDI   (03.26.12)
When the name of JUDEA & SAMARIA means Islam & Muslims, and change your Quran from YA BNEI ISRAIL to YA BNEI ISLAM or MUSLIMS, then you can ask for the land of the Jews called Israel. By the way, for my knowledge, please tell me how go received the Quran? From mountain, from the sky, or it was written by Jewish Rabbi under threat from Prophet Mohammed.
20. 4. Translation: Take the land, get rid of the natives
A ,   Belgium   (03.26.12)
Where did you get the mistaken idea that "palestinians" are the native population of Israel? There are no "palestinians" and there never was a "palestine". And whats the name of that place where you live, and what happened to the "native population" there, hypocrite
21. To: No. 11
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (03.26.12)
You are the evil and delusional ones. Get out of our land; stop your violence and terror, stop slitting the throats of a sleeping family of five -- or face the consequences, chica. They won't be pretty.
22. This land is ours. End the fraudulent "peace process".
Chaim ,   Israel   (03.26.12)
Meltzer is 100% correct. This tiny land is ours. It is way past time to stop pretending otherwise. No state has a stronger claim on her land than Israel has on Judea and Samaria. We must claim all of Judea and Samaria. Love our land. Build our land. Make concrete plans to pay "Palestinian" poseurs to leave our land forever. This would not be hard to do since decades of polls show most "Palestinians" want to leave. Tens of thousands are leaving every year even without Israeli incentives.
23. Time for Thinking
goldi steiner ,   toronto canada   (03.26.12)
And time for acting. Enough of this charade. The only solution is a one Jewish state, pali-arabs to Jordan where they belong. Can the israeli population not wake up the government to act in its own best interest? If not THIS government, then VOTE for one that will do the job. What is also missing, is educating students about The Jewish People's Rights to the Land of Israel: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0065WZM14
24. PEACE
JEFF ,   MIAMI/JERUSALEM   (03.26.12)
JORDAN IS ARAB PALESTINE. 80% OF JORDAN IS PALESTINIAN. THERE ARE ALREADY 2 STATES JORDAN AND ISRAEL. We need real Jews for leaders and not the current batch of euneuchs. Cut of our enemies water and they will be gone in 4 days 5 tops. The king of jordan is a fraud. allah is an idol and mohammed a false prophet. Rebuild The Temple and the world will come and worship. Fear YAH and keep The 10 Commandments. To the Righteous belongs victory and salvation over all the enemies of The God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob..
25. Peace ONLY via BALANCE, balance ONLY via SECURE BIG ISRAEL.
Jerry ,   The Netherlands   (03.26.12)
26. No more this kind of "peace"
mel ,   chicago   (03.26.12)
Its time.
27. Yoel Meltzer is correct. The process of
RobertHaymond ,   Israel/Canada   (03.26.12)
paradigm change is in the works in Israel, however. The next election will tell the tale. Of course, we recognize that we only achieve peace with a strong, undeterred Israel. Compromise and appeasement only expose our own weaknesses. And it is not our business to assist our enemies in setting themselves up with their own independence. That becomes a quagmire which drowns us as well as them. What we need to do is to define ourselves without worrying whether or not we have explained ourselves to them. Explaining ourselves is a Jewish weakness. We Think we have to "explain ourselves" for existing. In fact, this planet is our home as much as it is others'.
28. #4 Benassi from Silver Springs: As
Robert Haymond ,   Israel/Canada   (03.26.12)
usual, you do not know what you are talking about as you provide no understanding whatsoever of the social context of Israel and its neighbouring people. You say that Palestinian Arabs are "tough": did you know that a huge number, especially Christians, have emigrated from the region, mostly to the West and more would do so if they had the opportunity. Also, many Palestinian Arabs residing in the Westbank would much prefer Israeli sovereignty where they are much more advantaged than in the absolutely corrupt non-nation state of "Palestine". You come on like some expert mouthpiece, Steve, but, in reality, you're just a Muslim propagandist.
29. peace.
zamir ,   US NYC   (03.26.12)
Great idea! Annex the territories and you'll have 4 millions of arabs under israeli sovereignty; a perfect recipe for stability in a jewish non democratic state...
