all of israel's universities are in the top 50 best in the world. no wonder usauniversities want jewish israeli students since they are the top brains in any university, one just has to look and israel's acheivements in med and high tech and everything to understand why israeli students are an attractive investment for any usa university. s for you, i am sure pollacks lack the education and brains needed to graduate from anywhere. pity, that!
9. US Universities........
carlos ,   U.S.A.   (03.26.12)
are in decline. Why go there? to be indoctrinated in the Social Science departments? to attend U.S. universities antisemitic rants? To attend racist courses such as Ethnic Studies? To go to programs that do not participate in real world problems? Israel has more scientist and engineers per capita than the U.S., don't go to the U.S. is a waste of time and money. US universities need an overhaul
10. $3,200 won't even pay the rent for 1 semester
Scott ,   Ramat Gan, Israel   (03.26.12)
There is a problem with limited university space in Israel & they need to open more universities. But offering $3,200 scholarship is really just a lure to get Israelis to pay 10s of thousands more. For many Israelis, university is a way of emigrating illegally to America, so maybe they see $3200 as the admission fee.
11. The problem with Israeli students.
Michael ,   California, USA   (03.26.12)
They are older because of the years spent in the military service in Israel. Also, many of them take a year or even two off after the military to earn some money and travel. The most intellectually active and fruitful years after high school graduation are wasted. Compared with their American counterparts, who are several years younger, Israeli students barely reach the level of average in academics. "Brain is a terrible thing to waste."

Benjamin ,   Denver, CO   (03.26.12)
Michael, it appears that the wasted brain is yours. When is the last time you attended a college or university in this country? Other than leftist indoctrination you will not find much. Your "unwasted brains" consume most of their time getting wasted on drugs and alcohol, and the stupid entitlement mentality in this country that "everyone must have a degree" nurtures mediocrity for the masses. The older mature students go to the universities to learn, and not to get wasted. This is the same with the Israeli students and our own service members leaving the service and going to school under the GI bill. But, again, you do hail from the morally and financially bankrupt People's Republic of California, so that explains a heck of a lot. Typical "liberal".

Netanyahu is educated in a US University and that is the reason he cannot find friends in the world. There are many thousands of Israelis graduated in the United States and do think they leart nothing.
14. Carlos @#9: On the mark!
Israeli 2   (03.26.12)
Remain in Israel and be educated there. American universities DO need an overhaul.
15. #11 Shame

You clearly have no idea what you're saying
16. $3,215?
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (03.27.12)
I pay Ivy League tuitions. American universities will have to tack on one zero, and even then, it's not even half. Thank goodness I have one child at McGill. Now that's a price break! Tuition, room and board, and books at a good United States university runs at least $65,000 per year. In most cases, more than that. Get real.
