Some of the Turkish products on the shelves of our supermarkets or in several shops are adequate and one cannot blame the whole Turkish people for some lame and rabid anti-Semitic commercial. But one can surely blame the Turkish politicians and the extremist atmosphere they managed to bring into Turkish public life, their passionate anti-Semitic and especially anti Israeli rethoric. All these and many other weird political alliances Turkey has pledged to lately (i.e. Iran) have all been pushing Turkey to the abyss of Europe and turning her more and more redundant in the eyes of the world. What a shame ! Turkey needs a modern, pragmatic, non-islamist political management. And one more thing: anti-Semitism has never paid off in the world. The perpetrators have always had to pay themselves !

First off, I'm a grandson of Holocaust survivors. The commercial IS in total bad taste, but guess what, something can be in bad taste and Still be funny. It's not too different from the meme on youtube with a clip of from the German movie "Downfall", which depicts Hitler's last days, and there's a scene with Hitler yelling at his generals and ranting and raving. A lot of people put clips on youtube with fake subtitles (the movie is in German) and changed it to Hitler yelling about something totally different. Sometimes the subtitles are funny, sometimes not, and yes, it's always poor taste. And again, often humor is in poor taste but still funny.
