Find a Bedouin, Druze or Arab that has done something noteworthy concerning fresh (or salt) water preservation, and he or she can participate in the torch-lighting ceremony. Good luck with that one. Might want to check the question of the serious issues Israel has to deal with concerning water pollution and water fouling -- and who is responsible for the pollution and fouling -- and then come back and revisit the issue. It won't take very long. Sadly, the answer is all too obvious.

I remember the army (or was it police?) girl who kindled the flame on the Tribe of Yehuda torch. She's an Arab (or Druze?) from 'Usfiya and she proudly shouted "u'letif'eret medinat Yisra'el" (for the glory of the State of Israel) at the end of her speech. Why can't it be possible now? Israel is and will always be a state in which all groups of people are protected, represented, and free.

On the one hand we demand that Arabs be good citizens and on the other refuse to honor their contributions to the State... Reuven Rivlin is correct!!!

WHAT contributions? Soil erosion and water depletion? Fouling fresh water streams? Bedouins actively assisting terrorists and smugglers in the Sinai? Druze spying for Hezbollah? Arabs like Tibi and Zoabi and their supporters? Spare me.
