Sepharadi Haredim that follow Rabbi Ovadia Yosef do recognize the State of Israel, are Knesset members, some do work and do serve as Cabinet Ministers. The Ashkenazi Haredim, more closely related to the Neturei Carta, who do not recognize the state of Israel and side with those who want ot destroy our country, also do become Members of the Knesset but will not accept a ministerial position but will serve as deputy ministers. Also, some do work. Some Ashkenzi and Sepharadi Haredim do serve in the IDF but the Neturei Carta DO NOT! Hope this answers your question.
